Dogs

:teeth: Did you have a headache :headache: after that?

Oh, I loved that, have to show it to my husband. While he was delivering pizzas he too had a lot of dog encounters.

His favorite tale to tell though is about the people who ordered a pizza, decide to pass time while waiting, leaving curtains open...did it more than once (ordering pizza and following events that is)......

Oh, you wouldn't believe the stories I have like that!

Pizza = naked time.

Haa haa Haa -- that is a good one Robin.. Hope your head ( and the poor doggies ) didn't hurt for too long after .. Michelle

Too funny! Have you thought of a career as a comedy writer? There are a lot of tv shows that could use your help.

I am sitting at work trying not to laugh hysterically, and my eyes are about to overflow with tears from holding in so much laughter.

I hope you are OK (butt and all). Thanks for the latest installment in the delswife hall of fame!!

LOL! As the owner of a kennel full of dogs, I am here to tell you dog heads have GOT to be harder than cement!::yes:: I have the bruises to prove it! You do NOT want a dog to jump up and catch your chin with that hard head!

Dogs, SILs, Grasshoppers...sounds like someone needs to get away and have a Disney day:earsgirl:

Okay I have a question for you.

They say dogs can smell fear. You aren't suppost to be afraid of dogs if you don't want to get bit.

How are you suppose to NOT have fear when an 80 lb. dog is running at you?

When a dog is coming at me the ONLY reation I have is fear. I have tried jelousy, envy, admiration but I keep coming back to fear.

What do I do?

We have a bichon frise that likes to get wound up and run laps around the dining room table. My husband gets on one side and gets on all fours to growl at her when she runs by (this winds her up more). Once while lapping the table, the dog ran full out into his mouth with her head! She looked at him funny for a minute then kept running -he on the other hand ended up with a big fat lip!! I could completely identify with how hard a dog's head is. Our dog is only 20 lbs and look what it did to my big husband.princess:

Do you know what happens when you drop 8 pizzas sideways? They become calzones.

ROTFL!!! This was the point when I started laughing out loud! I know it wasn't funny at the time, though. I'm glad you got a nice tip after all that!

I was once bending down to pet our toy poodle while he was jumping up to greet me. His head hit my chin and I felt like I'd been decked by a linebacker! My DH couldn't believe that such a tiny dog could cause so much pain! So yeah, I think their heads are concrete! Also, our German shepard likes to put her feet on my shoulders and look into my eyes...maybe it's shepard thing? LOL

Laurie, who keeps her clothes on when ordering pizza!:teeth:

so do calzones cost more so you charge the client more?

LOL PrincessDeb. Our first Bichon used to do the same thing. He'd stalk me while I was sitting on the floor folding laundry. He'd wait for the exact moment and then POUNCE! He'd grab a sock and run under the diningroom table. I'd yell at him to give me that sock back, and he'd respond by digging his teeth into the sock and making a nice riiipppp noise. Of course when I got up to get the sock back, he'd start doing those circles. And he knew I couldn't catch him. I'd have to call in support (DH or one of the kids) to help me get it back.

Damn I miss that dog. :teeth:

Delswife, I can relate to your pain. Once my dog head butted me and I nearly bit my tongue off. It wasn't a pretty sight. And the words that came out of my mouth weren't very pretty to hear either. ;)

Yep, head butting definitely does hurt. Been head butted a couple of times by my own dogs. We always tell people that our dogs like you as long as you come into the house with us, if we tell you to wait and close the door, DON'T open it. Years ago DH had someone stop by the house. He told him to wait outside while he let the dogs out. DH shut the door to let them out in the backyard. Well, he decided to open the door and follow him into the house. DH hears a low growl and turns around and Katie (80lb shepherd/lab mix) has him pinned against the wall and the poor guy is standing on his tiptoes trying to slide back out the door. Thankfully, she didn't bite him. Just scared the poor guy half to death. Only one of our dogs has ever bitten anyone (thankfully it was more of a scrape). For some reason he just doesn't like this person. We always have to put him up if she comes over to the house.

My Husky would lick you to death and than help you eat the pizza. The lil mutt is the one to watch out for at our house unless you drive a BIG brown truck with UPS on the side, I guess they know the truck so don't bother the driver.
