Dogs in golf carts

We will be at FWC in October. We have rented a golf cart for a couple of days. Since we have been coming to FW since 2004 we have never rented a golf cart. Dh has recently had a second hip replacement and we can no longer ride bikes. Can our 15 lb Coockerpoo ride around in the golf cart with us
