Has anyone's dog ever had this?

I have "self-diagnosed" my dog with this over the weekend. It is a skin/lip problem that primarily occurs in dogs with floppy/flabbly lips like hounds, spaniels, etc. For a long time she's been getting these little "crusty" things on one side of her mouth (on her lip) and then it started on the other side. Now the crust is getting worse and sometimes one side will bleed.

I finally looked some things up on the net and figured out what it was. It is basically treated with home care (antibacterial cleanser) and antibiotics if it gets infected.

I started doing the home care this weekend and, while her mouth started looking better, she's now getting ticked off at me messing with it and won't let me do it now. So, we are off to the vet tonight but I was wondering if anyone ever dealt with this and what was the outcome? Chronic?

A few months ago my lab sort of had a crusty thing going on around his mouth. He went to the vet for something else but I had her look at that. Not sure if she gave it a name but he was put on antibiotics and it cleared up within a day or two and has not come back.

Hope your pup gets better soon.
