Sorry if this has already been asked, but what exactly are the dog bones ordered from GF bakery. I have seen the pics and I know they are usually ordered for boys instead of the slipper for girls, but what are they---cake, mousse, a little of both?? Thanks :sunny: Also, anyone know cost?

Last I heard they were $14.

They are eclairs

thanks for quick reply Beattyfamily!! We love eclairs!!

I really want to make the next trip really special for my parents in Oct. We are having tea at GF and I wanted to order a slipper for my mother but then saw the dog bones and wondered if I should order them for my father. (He loves dogs).

Will this be just too much food with all of the other pastries at tea?? I was wondering if we could get them wrapped (maybe a doggy bag :rotfl2: ) if they are not eaten? We are staying at WL and I am sure one of our rooms will have a frig. Sorry, this thread ended up to be a question within a question. Thanks for everyone's help.

I honestly can't remember what was in them. I'm thinking some kind of custard but what I do remember is that both of my boys didn't like them. Very unusual for my boys because they love desserts. It was a waste of $ and I wouldn't get them again. Now the slipper, my daughter loved it!

They will wrap whatever is left of the dessert for you. We had the slipper and didn't finish it and they offered to wrap it up to go.

My DH got the dog bone dessert at Citricos thinking it looked good and it really wasn't. He ate most of it but regretted his choice - they are mushy.

For what it's worth.

I think it'd be fine at the tea if you just don't order as much food in addition to that.
