Does your town/neighborhood have set hours for trick-or-treating?

Kids here usually start ToTing when it gets dark, but we don't have specific hours.

yes, 6 to 8, but many little ones come before dark and a few older ones show up later. We generally hand out candy until 8:30 or so - depending on how many are out and about.

This year is quiet and it looks like we will rap up earlier than normal.

Our town it is from 3 - 7pm. They like to have afternoon hours for all the little ones and end it before there are too many problems. It has always been like that here (Chicago suburbs)

No set time here. They usually start showing up around dusk and we've had them come as late as 10pm. If there are still kids ringing my bell at 9:30pm, I'm going to turn my lights off.

That doesn't seem like very much time. When I was younger we would go for several hours.

I know, but for some reason that's how where I live now works. We had a longer time back in New Jersey, where I used to live.

Yes, the kids are only allowed to Trick or Treat between 6-8 the Friday before Halloween AND they are only to go to homes with the front porch lights turned on. I have no idea why.

Yes, 6-8PM. The whole town goes out to the town village area and all the houses there are very decked out. This is our first Halloween in the new house and it was really the neatest thing!

I'm not sure if our town has an official time to ToT but I usually have my porch light on from 6-8. The kids only go to houses that have a light on. Not sure if I'll shut down at 8 this year though. With the late time change it didn't get dark as early as it usually does. I didn't get my first goblins until 6:50. I probably only have had about 50 so far but we live in an older subdivision so not alot of youngsters.
