Does your phone stay charged all day?

since everyone in my family has the same phone, i bought 6 extra batteries. i numbered them and we swap them out as needed. they charge in extra chargers over night. 6 is a little overkill but i'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I have an iPhone with iOS 7.0, I'm lucky if I make it to lunch on a day I'm only texting on it. At the MK I'll be taking pics, updating instaGram and Twitter and using the app. I'll be lucky if this awful phone makes it through the RD show, lol

I took a screen shot of my Fast Passes and ADRs then made that my home screen picture. Put my phone in airplane mode and the battery lasted all day.

I just purchased a Jackery Giant+ Premium Fast-Charging Aluminum Portable Charger 12000mAh External Battery Pack on amazon for $40 so my phone won't die.

The wifi drained my battery when I had it on and it was actually slower than just using my my 3G. So, I turned the wifi off. I have an iPhone 5c and after I turned the wifi off, I took pics, surfed FB, used the MDE app, and texted. Phone stayed charged all day.

Any tips on keeping your phone charged all day? I'm thinking with all of my reservations and fast pass information stored in the Disney app and constantly referring to that and using location services, my battery will die very quickly. Any thoughts?

Last time I learned to screen shot my FastPasses and look at them via my photos instead of opening the MDE app because it drained my battery. My battery was still mostly dead by about 9pm, but lasted most of the day this way. I used it for taking pictures, social media, staying in touch with family inside the park.

Truth!!! Back in my Blackberry days I could easily go 2 days without charging at all. Now I get 2 hours.

I don't want to trash the IPhone too much. But would it hurt to build a phone that you can still use after lunch? Maybe the IPhone 6 will be an improvement on battery life but for now it's all Android for me. I start worrying about a charge somewhere around the time all of the daylight is gone.

My iPhone 5c stayed charged all day with light to moderate use. My husbands samsung Galaxy drained much faster. Granted, my phone (and battery) are newer. I think it really all depends on what you're using it for. Taking tons of pics, checking email and FB all day, then it will drain. I used mine to check MDE a few times, occasionally checked other sites, and took maybe 15 pics a day.

i second the earlier mention of taking screenshots of your reservation times and fastpass times. keep your phone in airplane mode unless you separate, then turn it right back on again once you're together again. that should get you through the day, but if you're really crunched for battery, then reduce your brightness as much as you can, and either turn off wi-fi or keep it in airplane mode.

Buy a battery pack that can charge 2 devices at once with usb cables. You won't regret it.

I just carry a spare battery. If my first one runs low, I pop off the back of the phone, remove the drained battery, pop in the new one and good to go, about 30 seconds. Works like a charm. No hunting for receptacles, carrying cables and chargers, etc. with me.

I am a HEAVY data user on my iphone. I am very OCD and check FB every 5 mins if I'm away from my computer. If there's nothing to see there, I look stuff up on the internet. If I can't come up with something to amuse myself with on the web, I utilize apps that are data-driven, like checking forums. Once I'm bored with that, I play games. My phone is pretty much ALWAYS in my hand and I'm always using it. It's kind of scary. Point being, I can still manage to get my phone through the afternoon even with usage that probably 99% of people never see. I bought a portable charger because I don't want to be stranded without a phone (I would be completely lost without it!) and may be in the parks all day, but if you do that, your phone should last the day unless you're utilizing it as a camera and snapping non-stop. The comment about dimming your screen is absolutely true and will play a huge part in battery life.
