Does Your Guide Always Call When you Get Your Add-On? Guide just called, I got it !

I am waitlisted for some BCV points. Does your guide always call you when you finally get them, or do you have to keep checking your account on members website? I have never used this guide before, so I have no previous relationship with her. She said she would call, but I have my doubts.
 
I also just did a BCV add on. Took about 10 days (Feb UY).

I received a call from my guide the same day I noticed the points on the member website.

Not sure if that helps.

Your Guide should call but it depends on your Guide. Some are more in tune to customer service than others.

Are you going to change your DIS login to DVC Dreamin? :confused3

I was on the waitlist for BCV points for several months a couple of years ago. It was a small add-on, only 50 points. They had my credit card for the down payment.

When I called me credit card company to check something unrelated, they asked if I knew of a $5000 charge that had hit. I was in a panic for a few minutes, and then together we figured out it was my 50 DVC points.

My guide never called, never gave me the option. We were going to write a check, so we just wrote it to the CC company, so it didn't really matter, but I thought it was kind of crummy anyway. What if we didn't have the room on the credit card and we lost the purchase because no one called?

Just my experience.

I was just wondering about this same scenario. I am third on the waitlist, so I don't know how long that would be. I too am purchasing a small amt. of pts. I keep checking the website, but wonder if this is necessary. I haven't used this guide before, she was assigned to me from the tour.
 
I guess the UY March is the one to have...I got my add-on in 2 wks.! Okay, need to add a sig now!:goodvibes
 
My recent add-on posted on the member site on a Saturday, and my guide called Monday. I just waitlisted for another BCV (Dec. UY) add-on yesterday, and my guide is "working" on back-to-back cruises for the next two weeks. If it comes through in that time period, I'll probably get an email rather than a call. My last add-on only took 4 days :woohoo:
