Does TT close during rain?

The day we are in Epcot is forcasted to be rainy/thunderstorms. Would any rides close? Should I change my park strategy. Planned on doing TT at rope drop (no FP).

It won't close for rain. It will close for lightning.

I wouldn't change any plans.

TT definitely closes in the rain, part of the track is outdoors. We have personally experienced a rain closure of TT.

All other Epcot rides are indoors and will not close for rain.

Test Track definitely closed for rain last time we were there. It was just a light drizzle with no lightning. I would definitely do it first if rain is expected.

I've seen TT closed in the rain, sans lightning, numerous times.

I have also seen it close many times for rain and especially lightening. I can remember going in the summer and it closed and reopened 10 times in one day. It will reopen once it stops. I have also been on it when it rained but it wasn't downpours.

1. Not quite true. It does close for rain showers, as the drops hitting guests faces (and eyes) can be quite painful.

2. But, I agree with this. No telling WHAT the weather will or won't do, and at what time.

TT def closes in the rain.
part of the ride is outside and its the part that you hit close to 65mph.
i've been at that part when its just starting to rain and it doesn't feel all that great.

if you go at RD you shouldn't have much to worry about since MOST of the time its not raining at 8am-9am.
it usually holds off until later in the day.

had your plan been to ride at 2pm i would have advised you to change it to near RD.
