Does this still exist?

When I was first planning this trip months ago I thought I read something about Disney putting all those pictures they take of you when you go into a park onto a photo pass(?) card and you can order them online after you get home. I also thought there was something about getting one photo free if you booked through WDTC or something like that. Can anyone fill me in about this again now that I know I am going, when, and that date is getting closer?

Here's what I understood from our Photo Pass experience this past week.

Let's say you are at MK. You have several pictures taken there. You can view them there, or wait till you get home. You can not go to EPCOT and see your MK pictures.

Take the card with you to one of the other parks, let's say EPCOT. You get more pictures . . . same Photo Pass card you used at MK, but again, you can only view your pictures taken of you at EPCOT in EPCOT.

You can go home and, within 30 days, you can actually see all of the pictures you took at all of the parks on that one card.

I believe I had one guy tell me that you can only get the pictures once you get home. I don't believe you can have the special borders and WDW icons on your pictures, or Tinkerbell flying by your head on the ones you order from home. You can only get those if you order them while at the parks.

We ordered ours from each park. It really is a pain to have to only go to that particular park. We were at MK and, after thinking about it, wanted more pictures from EPCOT. So guess where we had to go? Yep, back to EPCOT, just for those pictures.

But that's o.k. The Photo Pass people were very fun and helpful.

I know that if you have a Disney Credit Card, you can get a photo opportunity in Epcot and 1 photo free.

You can add graphics on the website once you get home. For instance a little icon with year and location or tinkerbell sprinkling pixie dust. They are a little pricey but some photos are worth it!

I ordered a few more when I got home and I was able to put the border and captions in it. I was also able to send the photopass link to other family members and they could look at the photos too.

Definitely get a photo pass when you have the first pic taken and use it at all the parks for your whole trip. The photographer can show you the pic right on their little monitor. Then skip the shopping in the parks. Wait until you go home and go to disneyphotopass.com to view all the pics at once. You can ad icons and edit the pics there also (crop, lighten, darken) and then purchase them. They run specials all the time. BUT here is the best part: You can e-mail them to anyone to look at for free!!! Grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, sons, daughters or the co-workers who think you are crazy anyway. They can also buy if they would like to. Also, save the pass, you just use the same one on your next trip. And so far my pics have always stayed more than 30 days, some from January just dropped off in August.

Wow! The photopass option sounds awesome!!! Especially being able to share them with family and friends.

Photopass is really cool. But...you want to be careful. It doesn't happen often, I think, but sometimes the images are lost in the electronic haze sometimes. When that happens, you get home and log on and see only a few of the really great pictures you posed for or none of the pictures at all. I would really reccommend getting the pictures printed up at the photo center. That way if the image is lost, you can go back while your still there and have the picture retaken.
