I was thinking about trying to squeeze in AK early EMH just for Kilimanjaro Safari on Saturday morning. How are the lines if you get there right at opening?

TIA!

Looks good! :thumbsup2 My one piece of advice for anyone going to Disney for the first time is to be there when the parks open--it looks like you already get that. Lines for the safari will be small if you go there first. A lot of people will now probably rush over to Expedition Everest (us!) first now. Have a great trip!

is your DS into animals? At the Ak there is the walking tours to see the animals the tain to conservation station in which you see vets doing surgry on animals its a cool place and only takes up not even half a day if your not doing the rides. other then that epcot is my fav too i love the rides and info they give you on the rides

Nice plan! I'm not sure about the lines, but maybe you can call someone at the park (or someone who is going , or has gone) .

On your last day are you leaving the property at 1, or is your flight at 1? In either case, I don't think you can accomplish much on departure day unless you want to get up really early(after all...you can sleep on the plane):earsboy:

Our flight on Saturday doesn't leave until 3:55 pm, but we are taking ME to the airport, so I figured we'd be leaving the property around 1:00pm

I am hoping we have enough time to get to AK by 8:00 am, go right to Kilimanjaro Safari and then head right back to CBR afterwards. I am hoping to be back to CBR by 10:00 in case we have any last minute packing etc... do you think this is possible?

Your plan looks good, on your open day, AK in the am, lines for the Safari should be small and quick with the new EE getting all the attention. AK is a great park you could do just the morning, return to your hotel and prepare for your ADR PH. Another thought, if your son would be interested in the new LMA stunt show in MGM. That's a fairly new show, very popular, cars and motorcycles.

I think it's possible but it's a bit of a schlep for just one attraction. Do you have APs? If not it's a waste of a full day ticket. Do you have your own vehicle, or are you using Disney transpo? We have gone to a park for just one or two attractions and by the time we parked/got through admissions/walked to the attractions/waited in line/exited the park/got to the vehicle it was like "whew...what were we thinking?" You'll have fun no matter what.:earsboy:

On the day you go to Epcot you will be leaving only 2 hours after the World Showcase opens. The Future World area opens at 9:00 but the WS doesn't open until 11:00 AM, so you might want to adjust that time a bit.
