We are driving from PA to WDW. It is about 1050 miles and about 16 hours plus stops. What I am thinking is to have DH drive to South Carolina the first day, stay at a hotel and then get up at like 6am or even 7am and drive the rest oft he way to WDW. The first days drive would be about 12 or 13 hours with stops I hope, and then the next day we would only have 6 more hours till we got there so if you add in a few extra stops and we got up and left around 7am or even 8am we could still be at our resort (pop) by dinner time.
DH said he did drive it in 18 hours straight before when it was just him and his friend. We will have a 4yo and 8yo so there is no way we can do that. He said he would like to be able to do a majority of the driving at night. We could leave at night and the boys could sleep in the van. I don't want to pay for a whole day at Pop and only be there to sleep the first day. That is why I would like to get there by dinner time or sooner and be able to relax and get settled in and maybe check out the resort and relax in the pool before having to go to bed.
The next day we would get up and go to Sea World and then start our 7 days at WDW the day after that.
Is there any hotels along I 95 in South Carolina you would recommend?
