Do you get confused as to which direction you are heading on the ship?

I only went on the 4 night, but it took me to the last day to figure out which direction I was going in.

I guess because I didn't do my research as to where things were on the ship.

*Think* "Resturants Aft" "Theater Forward"

It just took me a few days before I didn't have to stop every once and a while to get my bearings

Don't ask me for directions either :teeth:

YES! We have been on two DCL trips now and we got turned around each time. We even passed our door a couple of times and had to back track. Sad to say, we had rooms by the elevators both times...

TIP: If you are in a hallway and wondering which way is the back/aft of the ship and which is the front/forward of the ship...take a look at the anchor design in the carpet...the anchor is split by two colors, the blue is toward the front of the ship, the red takes you to the back of the ship!

magical cruise guide.

Andrew DEREK UK,

Thanks for the tip!! I did know there was something about the colors on the anchor on the carpeting but I couldn't remember which was which. I can get lost in my own bathroom!!!LOL!!

Okay, two more things!

*Think* "Blue Forward" "Red Aft"

:teeth:

Too much thinking for a vacation :rotfl:

the anchor colour doesn't always work. I can't remember where, but there are certain sections that are the opposite (boy, did I get lost after that one!)

Some one on the boards gave me a great hint: The room numbers decrease as you head towards the front of the ship, and increase as you head towards the aft.

For finding your room, you might consider putting up a door sign of some sort. It would make your room much more easily identifiable.

Hope this helps
Katdb

My husband always remembers which way everything is.

For me, the color thing & cabin #'s thing doesn't work, because I always forget what's located where.

Just when I get it down pat for one location, I screw up another & then get all mixed up. Doesn't matter, though, I enjoy touring the ship over & over & over.

I just use a memorization trick for coming out of the cabin.

le F t is Forward and R ight is for Rear of course it helps that we have had cabins beside each other for the last two and up and coming cruise. ( port side )

My DDD ( Katdb) got her navigational genes from her Dad. I remember well many a road trip doing the doing the port/starboard, red/green or you're other left, dear....thing many a time. He was a Naval officer, but thank heaven not a NavO.;)
