Does this board need another DME question?

Of course it does! Here we go:

Our plane lands at 10:30 pm. I'm hoping to enter our room at Pop shortly after midnight (any earlier will be a happy surprise). How should I go about making the following request and to whom do I make it?

The request: If our luggage can be delivered within 15-30 minutes of our arrival in our room, please do so. If it will be any later than that, please don't even attempt to deliver it until 7 am.

Anyone have experience yet with late-night arrivals?

I would talk to bell services when you check in.

They may tell you your luggage is already at the resort, and that someone can bring it to your room right away. They may tell you it's likely to take much longer, in which case you can ask them to hold off until the morning.

My brother is at WDW now - arrived at resort at 1am, after late flight. Said ME bus was fine, lines not too bad.

Luggage arrived at his room at 4am with a gentle knock on the door.

He didn't seem to think that he could make the request that you are asking....

I don't know why it shouldn't be possible to tell bell services, "It's late, and we're going to try to get some sleep right away. Please check your system to see if my luggage is ready for immediate delivery to my room. If not, please hold off until 9 or 10 tomorrow morning. We packed an overnight carry-on."

Until the ME computer system works properly, the answer might be, "I'm sorry. I can't tell you the current status of your luggage."

If so, my response would be, "Then please hold off until 9 or 10 tomorrow morning."

If any WDW resort employee knocked on my door at 4 a.m., the resort's general manager would hear from me.

4 AM??? :scared1:
I "suffer" from WDW insomnia, just too excited to sleep much when we're there. If we get in at midnight and our baggage comes at 4, that will probably be it for that night's sleep. I'm getting a little nervous about DME -- and the fact that I still don't have luggage tags isn't helping matters, either!
