Does the Disney Visa currently have a DVC backpack incentive?

<font face="times" size="+0">Disney had to torture me and send me a copy of the latest Mickey Monitor even though our APs expired 2 mos ago. Anyway, there was a blurb on how AP holders who apply for the Disney Visa can get a limited edition backpack that has the nicest design w/ a Mickey and elegant "Passholder" lettering.

So that got me really jealous and wondering if Disney Visa has come out w/ anything for DVC Members that's similar. I've been away from the boards for a while, so I apologize if they've already announced a deal like this for DVC Members a while back.

I've been holding off on applying for the Disney Visa, but I think I just might do it if they offered a DVC Member backpack that's just as nice as the AP backpack.</font>

I haven't heard of any DVC exclusive offers from them and I've had the card since day one. I think the only benefit was having "Disney Vacation Club" under your name.

They sent me a denim-look backpack with brown leather-look bottom when they sent my member documents kit. It has a drawstring at the top with a leather-look flap that buckles over it that is embossed with the DVC logo. The bag is lined inside with vinyl for protection against things getting wet. It also has a side zipper for access on the side and the bottom unzips for storing wet bathing suits. It has a tag in the shape of Mickey's hand that holds a name card or something. I haven't used it yet but I might bring it with me in Sept. for use in AK (sandals and a towel to dry feet before putting sneakers back on after Kali River Rapids ride). I hope it can fit 7 pairs of adult sandals!

I applied for the Disney Visa from BankOne in late June, got it about two weeks ago and I didn't see anything about a backpack promotion online or in the literature. You do get a $25 gift certificate after your first purchase. Also no interest for the next 6 mos. I also understand from other posters on this board that you can use the reward dollars towards your annual dues.

The two promotions I've seen offer bonus rewards with the first purchase. The one available through the BankOne website offers $50 bonus dollars, the one through DVC offers $40 bonus dollars. I've also seen one through the Disney Stores that offers $25 bonus dollars. Haven't seen anything offering a backpack.

The backpack is something I got as a new DVC member when my husband and I purchased in the summer of 2003.
