Does SkyAuction have a phone number?

Here is my tale of woe :rolleyes:

I won a SkyAuction auction last Wednesday evening, but no email showed up. I waited a couple of days, and then this weekend I tried looking on the SkyAuction site for some place to pay. I found a place to pay under the "My Vacations" link on the "Members" page, but I wanted to use a coupon, and this page has no place to put a coupon code. :confused3

I have searched all over SkyAuction's site, but can't find a Customer Service number. I did find a notice that people would be charged a steep fee if they didn't pay within 3 days! Do you think SkyAuction will charge me the fee, given that I never got an email and couldn't find a phone number, and that they aren't even in the office on weekends?

I did send them an email about not finding the place for the coupon code, but even if they answer that question, I would really like to verify that they will not be charging me a late fee before I give them my credit card info. Is there any way to phone them?

I use Skyauction coupons all the time and finally figured out how to do it. As soon as I win, I send emails to the email address listed on my winning email (winners and reservations@skyauction if I remember correctly). On the subject line, I give my winning auction number and the words "have coupon to apply". In the text of the email, I list the coupon number. I get an email in a few days saying they will pass along my information.

After the auction is processed, I pull up my history and make sure they applied the coupon before charging the balance to my credit card on file. This has worked everytime for me.

I have called them for last minute travel concerns. They have always been great to deal with over the phone. The number I found if the one posted by the other person doesn't work is:

The 800 number just got me a recording saying to leave a message (and this was during business hours today, Monday), but the 212 number got me a real human being, who applied the coupon for me. The business name seems to be Magical Holidays, which I guess is the parent company of SkyAuction.
Payment is taken care of now! Like I said, the DISboards rock! :thumbsup2

The guy I spoke to said that I wouldn't have to pay the late fee. He said that the late fee notice on the site was just to discourage people from bidding with no intention to pay, which makes me wonder if they ever charge it.

Bearzabout, were you saying that the email address was winnersandreservations@skyauction.com or that there were two email addresses, winners@skyauction.com and reservations@skyauction.com ? I'm hoping to follow your advice and email them next time I run into a problem, but I don't have the email address to contact them at, since I never got an email from them (and the guy I spoke to didn't know what the address was.)

Also, how do you get more coupons for SkyAuction? Is there somewhere you find them on the web, or do they get emailed to you?

Now, I just have to hope that my travel certificate shows up OK, so I can make my reservation!
 

Glad things worked out for you. When I registered at Skyauction and got my user ID, I entered my email address. They always send me an email immediately upon winning an auction. You must have also registered so I think your spam guard within your email may have intercepted it. The email comes from Skyauction Resevations and says "your bid on auction number XXXXXXX has won".

When registering at Skyauction, they asked me to enter a credit card number so they can keep one on file. I don't worry about ever getting charged a late fee since I know they will just charge my card after about 4 days if I don't get back with them with certain instructions, like applying a coupon.

I bid on auctions that include one week in a condo and a $100 off a future Skyauction purchase. I apply the coupon to the next win for the same auction and end up paying about $125 a week for my condo stays in Orlando.

The emails I receive say I can respond with questions or concerns to two different emails. Not knowing which to use, I send my request to apply my coupon to both. They are:

winners@skyauction.com
and
reservations@skyauction.com

Usually Rose will reply in a few days and it takes a few more before I get my documents from them, also via email. I prefer to get my travel certificate numbers and coupon number by email so I can use them sooner. You will likely get them in the mail, but if time is of the essence, email is the only way to go.

I verified that SkyAuction has my correct email address. I don't have a spam filter at that address, so I don't know why the email never showed up. I paid yesterday and haven't gotten an email with my certificate number, either, but I will give it a few days before I worry about it.

The auctions that come with a $100 voucher for a future SkyAuction purchase sound like a very good deal. The only problem I see with them is that I'm not sure they can be combined with discount coupons, like the one SkyAuction currently is offering for $50 off.

I've heard that you cannot combine the coupons.

By the way, it can take 3-4 business days (which can approach a week if you win an auction on Thursday or Friday) before I receive my documents after submitting my payment details. Nothing ever happens all that fast with Skyauction.
