Does Sci-Fi Restaurant need to be reimagined?

I would like to see a bit of attention paid to the food quality and selection. Maybe it was a bad day, but whoever had made the fried pickles the day I was there did a lousy job. I don’t know if they make them in house or get them from a supplier, but too many were fried dough without any pickle. And they used to have a salmon on salad option that I loved. The burger I had was okay, but well done, not the medium I ordered. So, if this had been my first time, I would not be inspired to go back.

I just think a refurbishment of the decor would be great. It just felt a bit worn. I’d loved to see them make a second drive in! Maybe with cars that car fit 3 or 4 across with a different time frame of decor and movie loop.

Did you get the pickle spears or the pickle chips? The spears are delish but they recently switched them to chips which are horrible.

We ate there this past December and it had been a couple of years since we had been there. Even though we love the theme, I think it could use a bit of new content on the screen.

Chips. Which is what I have had there in the past, but they were thicker. Based on this time, I wouldn’t get them again

Leave it alone. The movie clips are fine for the theme and maybe refresh the seats some but not everything has to be re-themed.

Exactly! They don’t need to throw IP at everything. It’s exactly what it’s supposed to be- an old Hollywood drive in. Why do things have to be modern to be appreciated? My kids got a kick out of it.

Ok, so the refurb conversations and commentary has now wanted me to 'TRY' Sci Fi. OMG, I cannot believe that I've been to DW 10 times and have never eaten there due to the bad 'food' reviews I've read. You all now have me excited to make this one of my must do places. We love burgers, fries, etc. and I'm a Sci Fi fan. So, with two trips scheduled for later this year, this is now a must do.

I also think it shouldn't be changed. But I just thought about it - the theme is almost 75 years old. If you had asked me as a kid in the 90s if I wanted to go to an attraction themed like the 1910s or 20s, I absolutely would've rolled my eyes. I don't at all want it to change - and I point this out just to say that somethings seem timeless. But 75 years ... wow. (yeah, I'm a millennial coming to grips with aging )

It’s a must do! I went there so many times, Highly recommended! And the food isn’t bad at all, people just like to hate. Stick with burgers and milkshakes and it will be top notch!
