I don't think I would be able to function with mice around!! I certainly hope they have moved on!!!!
Good luck with soccer and your classes. Hope you can fit trip planning in from time to time since we all know the planning is an integral part of the fun and anticipation!!!
I was finding it very difficult to function with those mice lurking!
I agree -- the planning is part of the fun!
I am already tall, but I might be teaching standing on a stool until all the mice were gone! I might just resort to wearing stilts! I can totally empathize, because we had them in our school last year, but I am VERY happy to report no sightings this year. (Hoping I didn't just jinx myself.)
Yeay for no sightings this year! I have been practically teaching from a chair. It has not been fun!
It's exciting to hear about soccer starting up. That will keep you plenty busy. I recall those days fondly - starting practices in the cold, lots of playing in the rain and rained out games, and ending in the heat come tournament time.
That pretty much sums it up. LOL!
Here's hoping you can sneak a little Disney into your paper. It will make it a tiny bit more bearable. I don't know that you'll be getting much DIS time over the next few months, but it should certainly make the weeks zoom by bringing trip time to you before you realize it!
No Disney in the paper, but I got it finished -- that was a relief. I just won't think about all the other papers I will be writing between now and April 23.
We will see you guys at
Wigd's Stormalong Bay gathering or somewhere else along the way. I think Anita said something about getting a group together at Beaches & Cream at some point, so maybe there. Who knows? I am hoping we can have one 'cross paths moment' while Jill and Bella are still there. Maybe another Small World ride or Jungle Cruise or something. Maybe Living with the Land? I'm thinking of things that have room for lots of people. We haven't begun any daily scheduling yet. I do know that we will be there 21 weeks from yesterday.
I think we might be arriving after Jill and Bella are already gone. I am bummed about that.
With so many cats in my house....we never have a mouse problem inside.
But they do bring home all the "mousy gifts" they catch outside.

Sorry you had to go through all that. Let's hope they are all gone now.
Our cats are good at home -- I kept saying I was going to bring them to school.
I hope you have a great soccer season with a lot of wins!!!
Thank you!
Your DIS meet sounds wonderful...Stormalong Bay or Beaches & Cream. Two awesome places I have never been.
I dream about both those places.
NOT that she will remember, but we ALL had Tokyo Sunsets together at the F & W festival in October.. LOL!!!! SO Ms. Anita, you HAVE had a Tokyo Sunset... Megan can remind you
Jackie, I totally get real world work getting in the way, that was my deal last week, too... and the count down with my magnet screening and selection process as well as course registration is a total whirlwind for me these next few weeks.. the good news is that a cruise is at the end of the tunnel....
This is always the craziest time of year -- I don't know how I forget that -- I think I just put it out of my mind since I know it is like this. LOL! Good luck with all your stuff! Thoughts of the cruise should help you soldier on!
I think I have T-Rex pics on FB. I'm going to repost them today.
I hope things quiet down for you soon! This time of the school year is always so busy.
It is so busy! Sadly, it hasn't slowed down one bit.
I've been such a bad diser lately.... I've tried to keep up with everyone's PTR's that I've been following, but to hard to always comment.. Saw about your "little friends" on FB... I would go nuts! must have a little family somewhere
That's what scares me the most -- the thought that there are more somewhere.
if I remember correctly you are staying at POR this time? That is where we stayed our last family trip you will love it

sooo pretty... We loved Ohana, and plan to do that again next time.
We are staying at POR! I can't wait to be strolling along those pretty paths.
I have to say I just found HappyDog's TR's (about a million of them lol) haven't commented on any of them yet...

: but have been sucked into ALL of them! of course I am dying to take a cruise some day!! so Happy Dog if you see this... love your TR's and family
Aren't they great TRs??? I am always so happy when she updates!
Yikes! Mice in the classroom!
That's no good at all!
Not good at all is right!!!
I read about your rodent problem on FB, but I didn't know your total count was up to 4. UcK!
However, your mice pictures are adorable.
LOL! Thanks!
42 girls for 18 spots is pretty impressive. That must have been a difficult decision during the try outs. I think you need a B team with all those girls. It must be nice to live somewhere where the weather is good enough for try-outs.
It was very difficult, and there were a lot of tears and mad mommas afterwards. More so than in years past because there was a lot of talent. Sadly, the other schools don't have enough for B teams...
Looking forward to a trip planning update. I am still keeping the crab nachos on my list after your last update.
I could use a plate of those nachos right now.

I must agree. As much as I tell my students that math is the MOST exciting thing, it does pale in comparison to trip planning!
So true! LOL!
I remember, I remember!!!
I just want to make sure that I get another one in March! I just might have a new favorite drink...
Step aside slushie.
You're too funny, Anita! Just remember, like kids, you have enough love to go around to all the different drinks. LOL!
As sad as I am for you about the mice, I did love your book blog on it!!!!
YAY for soccer starting, I know it's nuts but it is a fun kind of nuts.
I keep thinking of other books that have mice in them that I could have included like "The Tale of Two Bad Mice," and "The Rescuers." Maybe I should do a part two.
Soccer is a fun kind of nuts, but it wears me out.
