Does Pixie Dust Help with Decision-Making? A 2012 PTR! NEW! 6/30 pg.85

Oh mice!! Yikes!! I'm with you - I'd be way nervous having those little buggers running around!!

EEEKKKKK! on the mice!:scared1:

I hope they have cleared out by now.

I would find it very hard to concentrate on anything if I was worried about something scurrying across my toes or desk.

I noticed on amazon.com today tha the next Kingdom Keepers will be released April 3rd.:goodvibes Just in time for a Easter basket present.

:scared1: I don't think I would be able to function with mice around!! I certainly hope they have moved on!!!!

Good luck with soccer and your classes. Hope you can fit trip planning in from time to time since we all know the planning is an integral part of the fun and anticipation!!! :)

I was finding it very difficult to function with those mice lurking!

I agree -- the planning is part of the fun!

I am already tall, but I might be teaching standing on a stool until all the mice were gone! I might just resort to wearing stilts! I can totally empathize, because we had them in our school last year, but I am VERY happy to report no sightings this year. (Hoping I didn't just jinx myself.)

Yeay for no sightings this year! I have been practically teaching from a chair. It has not been fun!

It's exciting to hear about soccer starting up. That will keep you plenty busy. I recall those days fondly - starting practices in the cold, lots of playing in the rain and rained out games, and ending in the heat come tournament time.

That pretty much sums it up. LOL!

Here's hoping you can sneak a little Disney into your paper. It will make it a tiny bit more bearable. I don't know that you'll be getting much DIS time over the next few months, but it should certainly make the weeks zoom by bringing trip time to you before you realize it! :woohoo:

No Disney in the paper, but I got it finished -- that was a relief. I just won't think about all the other papers I will be writing between now and April 23.

We will see you guys at Wigd's Stormalong Bay gathering or somewhere else along the way. I think Anita said something about getting a group together at Beaches & Cream at some point, so maybe there. Who knows? I am hoping we can have one 'cross paths moment' while Jill and Bella are still there. Maybe another Small World ride or Jungle Cruise or something. Maybe Living with the Land? I'm thinking of things that have room for lots of people. We haven't begun any daily scheduling yet. I do know that we will be there 21 weeks from yesterday. :upsidedow

I think we might be arriving after Jill and Bella are already gone. I am bummed about that. :(

With so many cats in my house....we never have a mouse problem inside.
But they do bring home all the "mousy gifts" they catch outside.
Sorry you had to go through all that. Let's hope they are all gone now.

Our cats are good at home -- I kept saying I was going to bring them to school.

I hope you have a great soccer season with a lot of wins!!! :woohoo:

Thank you!

Your DIS meet sounds wonderful...Stormalong Bay or Beaches & Cream. Two awesome places I have never been. :thumbsup2

I dream about both those places.

NOT that she will remember, but we ALL had Tokyo Sunsets together at the F & W festival in October.. LOL!!!! SO Ms. Anita, you HAVE had a Tokyo Sunset... Megan can remind you :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

Jackie, I totally get real world work getting in the way, that was my deal last week, too... and the count down with my magnet screening and selection process as well as course registration is a total whirlwind for me these next few weeks.. the good news is that a cruise is at the end of the tunnel....

This is always the craziest time of year -- I don't know how I forget that -- I think I just put it out of my mind since I know it is like this. LOL! Good luck with all your stuff! Thoughts of the cruise should help you soldier on! :thumbsup2

I think I have T-Rex pics on FB. I'm going to repost them today.

I hope things quiet down for you soon! This time of the school year is always so busy.

It is so busy! Sadly, it hasn't slowed down one bit.

I've been such a bad diser lately.... I've tried to keep up with everyone's PTR's that I've been following, but to hard to always comment.. Saw about your "little friends" on FB... I would go nuts! must have a little family somewhere :(

That's what scares me the most -- the thought that there are more somewhere.

if I remember correctly you are staying at POR this time? That is where we stayed our last family trip you will love it:lovestruc sooo pretty... We loved Ohana, and plan to do that again next time.

We are staying at POR! I can't wait to be strolling along those pretty paths.

I have to say I just found HappyDog's TR's (about a million of them lol) haven't commented on any of them yet...:rolleyes1: but have been sucked into ALL of them! of course I am dying to take a cruise some day!! so Happy Dog if you see this... love your TR's and family:wave2:

Aren't they great TRs??? I am always so happy when she updates! :goodvibes

Yikes! Mice in the classroom! :scared1: That's no good at all!

Not good at all is right!!! :scared1:

I read about your rodent problem on FB, but I didn't know your total count was up to 4. UcK!

However, your mice pictures are adorable.

LOL! Thanks!

42 girls for 18 spots is pretty impressive. That must have been a difficult decision during the try outs. I think you need a B team with all those girls. It must be nice to live somewhere where the weather is good enough for try-outs.

It was very difficult, and there were a lot of tears and mad mommas afterwards. More so than in years past because there was a lot of talent. Sadly, the other schools don't have enough for B teams...

Looking forward to a trip planning update. I am still keeping the crab nachos on my list after your last update. :thumbsup2

I could use a plate of those nachos right now.

:upsidedow I must agree. As much as I tell my students that math is the MOST exciting thing, it does pale in comparison to trip planning! ;)

So true! LOL!

I remember, I remember!!!:rotfl2:

I just want to make sure that I get another one in March! I just might have a new favorite drink...:rolleyes1
Step aside slushie.

You're too funny, Anita! Just remember, like kids, you have enough love to go around to all the different drinks. LOL!

As sad as I am for you about the mice, I did love your book blog on it!!!!

YAY for soccer starting, I know it's nuts but it is a fun kind of nuts.

I keep thinking of other books that have mice in them that I could have included like "The Tale of Two Bad Mice," and "The Rescuers." Maybe I should do a part two.

Soccer is a fun kind of nuts, but it wears me out.

No step aside, just put in the other hand. ;) They seem to be adding more cocktails in WS. We should be able drink around the world that way soon. Except now we may not make it all the way around.

:lmao: So true!!!

ICK - rodents in your classroom. Nothing like little furry creatures to keep you on your toes in the classroom. Tip toes that is.

Heaven knows I have been looking all around the floor lately. It's unnerving.

I hope things ease up a bit and you get into a nice routine soon. I have started several things before other things have ended and I am still not quite sure where I am going most days.

I feel like I am on autopilot.

Catching up...from last year! :sad2:

The American Dream is deeeeeeeeeelish!!!!! I had one in August, it is the perfect warm weather treat!

I can't wait to try it!

Your trip binder is adorable, very nice work! And your ADRs look awesome. You will all love 'Ohana!

Thank you! We are looking forward to trying Ohana's dinner offerings!

I hope they have gotten those mice taken care of, I cannot imagine being able to fully concentrate with the thought of them making an appearance at any time, dancing in your head! :scared1: And I completely agree with you...while they don't scare me, I DON'T like them. We occasionally have one that likes to visit us as well. :headache:

It has been hard to concentrate.

Getting caught up Jackie :goodvibes

Understand how the crazies of life get in the way of Dising ;)

Hope the mice issue will be under control soon...euw!

No sightings this week, so that is a good thing!

Oh my goodness! You sound incredibly busy!! Good luck with everything! I read your post about the mice on FB! YIKES!!! I can't stand rodents!!!! Expect, as you said, ones affiliated with the Walt Disney Company! I hope you get them all!!

I feel completely overwhelmed these days, but, luckily, there were no mouse issues this week. That's something.

Hi Jackie! I did see your FB account of the mice visitors!:scared1: I hope you can get someone to find out where they are coming from and take care of them. Of course, I have an answer, but it's not very PC. ;)

LOL! You know Connor, being my animal lover, has been up in arms about this whole situation. He just can't understand why we can't coexist together.

I've been really busy, too, so I don't get caught up as often as I would like. I'm glad your planning is in full swing - that's almost as fun as doing, I think!:goodvibes

I really am a homebody, so all this busyness is wearing on me.

Oh mice!! Yikes!! I'm with you - I'd be way nervous having those little buggers running around!!

I even stopped wearing my Mickey earrings in case the mice were being enticed by them. ;)

EEEKKKKK! on the mice!:scared1:

I hope they have cleared out by now.

I would find it very hard to concentrate on anything if I was worried about something scurrying across my toes or desk.

It has been nerve-wracking. I didn't see any this week so I hope that means they have moved on.

I noticed on amazon.com today tha the next Kingdom Keepers will be released April 3rd.:goodvibes Just in time for a Easter basket present.

Hurray! I can't wait!

So, things are still super busy around here. This past week every single day was a 12-hour or more day for me, and by Friday, I was becoming a bit unglued. I am very much a homebody and not having adequate time at home was really beginning to wear on my mental well-being.

So, I have taken to daydreaming about the July trip.

What has been my favorite daydream this week? Well, with all the busyness, I have entertained visions of plopping down at a table in Italy and just watching the world go by while soaking up the sunshine.

And while I am sitting there, relaxing, I do think a beverage from the new Italian wine bar will be in order...

And I would have to say I would like to order one of everything from the gelato stand menu.

Especially this beauty.

Here's another angle (gotta love the Disney Food Blog).

Oh my that dessert looks unbelievably yummy!

Lexi loves cookies & cream anything so I must remember to get her one. :thumbsup2

We tried the Kaki Gori (shaved ice) from Kabuki Cafe on this last trip and it was excellent. We found ourselves new must do.

Disney daydreams are awesome! Sometimes I imagine I am there too! :goodvibes

:rotfl2:
Ok, sorry to laugh, but I'm so going to remember that soaking up the sunshine comment in July when we are plotting our decent on a table with an umbrella or vying for any slice of shade to hide under.:cool2:
Sorry to invade your daydreaming....:flower3:

Don't those gelato creations look awesome??? When I saw those on DFB, I was like "HOW HAVE I MISSED THESE???". You HAVE to get one!! (Or, several! :thumbsup2)

YUM! That looks really good. It actually looks similar to the strawberry sundae at Sonic although I am certain it is much more special than that! However, I suddenly have an urge to go to Sonic and pick one up... sometimes you just have to make do until you can get the real thing.

Hope things slow down for you and you get that much needed home time. I can relate b/c I am a homebody as well. The only place I can go to for long periods of time without missing home is WDW. Maybe once soccer season ends you'll have more free time.

Oh if only I were in Italy right now....That sounds like a pretty awesome plan Jackie! :)

I daydreamed along with you as I read this post. I can't wait for warm weather and gelato!

The DIS is driving me crazy right now so I can't even get to your update page, but that little dessert/snack (is that the gelato?) looks freaking AMAZING! I am so getting one of those in June. Thanks for giving me so many great June food ideas!:thumbsup2

Disney Day Dreams are the BEST!

Especially if they involve wine, gelato and Italy!

Though I agree with Anita, your gelato will be a disaster if you are soaking up the July sun. LOL!
