Does Pixie Dust Help with Decision-Making? A 2012 PTR! NEW! 6/30 pg.85

Jackie, all of those 4th of July treats look delicious!
And the American Dream...yum! I love how Disney even dresses up their food for the holidays. I wish I could go for the 4th!

Hi Jackie! I'm happy you had a nice Christmas. Sounds like Chelsea was excited!:rotfl2: Yay for ADRs! I'm thinking the 4th will be a really fun time to be in the World! I'm getting so ready to go there - we'll be just doing DLR for next year with our move, but I will live vicariously through my DISbuds!:woohoo:

I am a little late to the party, but at the same time, yay for the Game on code. My daughter and I are kind of stuck with Coronado Springs because of the room only discount, but Port Orleans Riverside would be our dream again. Still, it's nice to try something new! Looking forward to reading more!

Mmmmm...:cloud9: All of those snacks are making me hungry!

I was thinking about ADRs today too. I decided to take a look at our April plans & ADRs. I actually have several to cancel & just one or two to change. :thumbsup2

Yum!!! Those all look AMAZING.

I am 90% sure I'll be there on the 4th, as well. :) My brother & a friend of his will probably come but beyond that, I've made no plans. I better get on that!!

Just getting caught up Jackie, glad you guys had a nice Christmas!

I'm so excited that you guys are going to be able to be there for the 4th. All those treats you posted look soooo good!

I think I got a sugar high just looking at all of that. :rotfl: What a fun time to plan dining for.

Chelsea cracks me up. I confess, we torture the boys continuing in the fine tradition of my parents. They aren't allowed to come out of their rooms until we come and get them and then must wait at the top of the stairs for the mandatory picture and the GO sign! We have a really late night with church and then another really long day on actual Christmas day so do have to force some sleep on all so we can survive.

Jeff and I weren't in bed until 2, I'd have died if the kids were up as early as Chelsea!

I've missing for a while, but I'm back on trying to get caught back up. Loved reading about your fall and Christmas happenings. I'm so happy you have another Disney trip to plan. We leave in 49 more sleeps so I've got to start absorbing as much Disney as possible. We'll be staying at POR and I'm hoping we get a refurbished room. Can't wait to hear about your ADRs.

um NOOOOOOOOOOO I have NOT heard about this!!!! We are going in February, so you know I will be checking that out!!! :thumbsup2

Yes, check it out, so we can see what it is like! :thumbsup2

Hmmm... Beast's Tavern, eh? Well, I need to get finding these Fantasyland opening/info threads!!! I want to see all that, and that is why I know we are heading back for Christmas too!

I need to find those threads, too. I am hoping there is enough new stuff to whet our appetites in July. So fun to see all the new stuff!

We had one of these when went in February and it was really yummy.

They look delicious! I love soft-serve ice cream!

Blue Zoo....All I can say is Serenity. And order more than one :rolleyes1

:lmao:

Love the patriotic marshmallows!!! So cute!

I agree!

Oh I used to love Chi-Chi's too!! I think you should recreate the fried ice cream at your home....I have seen them do it on tv and it doesn't look too hard. For you to do not me. :rotfl2: You are a creative genius in the kitchen ;)

Enjoy the rest of your break

Tracy

Creative genius? Well, I don't know about that! :lmao: I bet there is a recipe for fried ice cream somewhere on the Internet, though.

Sadly, my break is quickly coming to an end -- just three more days. :( I guess I have to start packing up the Christmas decorations today.

That's one of the many reasons I love Disney -- they add all those little seasonal touches that I like so much!

I know what you mean about having to live vicariously through the DIS -- by the time we go in July it will have been two years for me. What was I thinking???

I am a little late to the party, but at the same time, yay for the Game on code. My daughter and I are kind of stuck with Coronado Springs because of the room only discount, but Port Orleans Riverside would be our dream again. Still, it's nice to try something new! Looking forward to reading more!

Hi, Amanda! Welcome! You are never too late -- there are still six more months of planning fun to be had! You will like Coronado. Charles would like to stay there again, but I overruled him this time. LOL!

Mmmmm...:cloud9: All of those snacks are making me hungry!

I always start drooling when I see Disney food pics! LOL!

Looking forward to seeing which of your ADRs made the final cut!

Why have I never seen the American Dream before? An ice cream slushie?! YUMMO!

Could there be any better combination? Slushies and ice cream just screams summertime to me!

Yeay! That will be a lot of fun! Our group is getting bigger and bigger!

Did you have a nice Christmas? I am excited about the trip and hanging out with everyone!

I think I got a sugar high just looking at all of that. :rotfl: What a fun time to plan dining for.

Me too on the sugar high. :lmao: I will definitely have to spread those out over the course of the vacation!

Not quite as much fun as a Christmas trip, but I will take it! :thumbsup2

If I had to do it over again, that's how I would have the kids do it. Although, I do have to say one of my favorite parts of Christmas morning when I was little was sneaking into the dark living room and seeing if Santa had come. Seeing packages that weren't there before always made my heart sing. LOL!

Jeff and I weren't in bed until 2, I'd have died if the kids were up as early as Chelsea!

Oh my! I would have died, too. We were in bed by midnight, and that 5:00 wake-up call was still too early!

Hi, Vanessa! Your trip is so close! :woohoo:

Looking forward to all your pictures of POR -- it will get me excited for our own stay there.

Well Jackie, I went to bed around 12:30 on Christmas Eve & woke up at 5:00 on Christmas morning! I can't seem to sleep late anymore, when I was younger I slept until 10 or later. Our sons were late sleeper, which was a good thing!;)

I'm sure you'll be happy with POR but I'm also sure you will second guess, third guess and forth guess your resort choice between now and then. :lmao:

Getting caught up after a week away from the boards!
I love how Chelsea was so excited to get up early! We make our kids wait to go downstairs until we go down and get the cameras ready. They hate that! But Santa doesn't wrap, so if they went down first, they'd know what he brought! We managed to wait until around 6 or 6:30 this year. Late for my kids!

Your patriotic treats look great - that slushy will be perfect in the hot summer weather!

I had heard that a lot of Fantasyland would be done by fall 2012, but it is opening in stages, so I'm hoping to get to see most of it in October. I'm sure all of you going in summer will give me updates, right?

Happy New Year!!

Wow! You slept even less than Chelsea did. LOL!

Connor would sleep in quite late, but Chelsea will never let him!

:lmao: Maybe not. Maybe this is the Year of No Changes (my own personal Disney promotion). :rotfl:

Santa does wrap at our house for the very reason that Chelsea is always up so blasted early. We want to see her surprised, and if Santa didn't wrap, we would have to sleep in the living room to see her. LOL!

I have a feeling we will be eating a lot of ice cream to try and stay cool.

Oh, yes! I am hoping they have a little bit of it open while we are there.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to you, too! :wizard:

Oh how cool!! I didn't even realize there would be 4th of July themed tasty treats! Duh Jess!

Mmm, ADR's. I miss planning mine already! It's my absolute favorite part of planning our Disney trip. Can't wait to see what you ended up deciding on!

All caught up and looking forward to all the 4th of July planning. :goodvibes

I hadn't been on the boards for a while. You will have so much fun at Disney for the 4th! We have been for the last 2 years but will not be this year.

It looks like a lot of disers will be there so you should have some great dis meets!

Hope you had a great Christmas and Happy New Year!
