Okay, I have been up to my eyeballs in cookie dough and holiday stuff this weekend so I missed completely your update!!!
YAY!!! This looks fantastic! I am trying to sort out my location for the first five nights of our trip there, I was thinking POR as well! B/C I thought that it would be fun to try something with a neat theme.. that, or WL... It depends on the villa resort we get for the back end of the trip! We are going to have a great time!!! Let the planning begin! Reservations for dining coming up!!! Yippee!!!

I figured with Riverside, it was perfect for us -- theme and such -- and since we will have our car, we won't have to worry about buses too much. We are going to have a great time -- I can't wait to start planning in earnest! I figured after Christmas, I will set up the trip binder and begin figuring out dining reservations! We will have to talk more about what everyone wants to do, etc. I do know I want to try those crab nachos at Blue Zoo.

OH, and we did MK on the 3rd and Epcot on the 4th, and then the 5th we went back to MK in the am and it was DEAD! So that is our plan for certain.. SHHHHHH!!! LOL!

I am pretty sure I got the idea for that from your trip report. I am pretty nervous about the crowds, but Charles says he will just stick a drink in my hand, and I will be good to go.

Oh YaY for good deals! I"ll be looking for a July TR -- DD's birthday is in July and the Florida heat scares me into ever doing WDW for her birthday. maybe you can convince me otherwise?

Have you read my trip report from Chelsea's thirteenth birthday? That was mid-July and really, heat and crowds aside, it was one of our favorite trips. I think the link is still in my signature -- something about a pixie-dusted birthday.

Yay for booking your trip I have seen the pictures of the new rooms and like the decor too. Have never stayed (at either) of the Orleans resorts although in October for some reason...I think we were going to DTD from HS or something and did the "we will take the first bus that comes along" game and that is where we ended up. Did a little walking around...what a pretty resort

Both Port Orleans resorts are very pretty -- probably my favorite resorts due to the Old South theme they have going on.

Those elves... They give me gray hair every year.

That tricky Disney!!! They play a good game. I think we all have fallen into that trap before. I always fall for those Disney commericals. They make me want to hop online and just book a trip! Congrats on having yours booked Jackie.

Me too! I get teary-eyed every time I see a commercial and then I want to go twice as badly.

I also wanted to give you a big hug during this Christmas season. I know you lost your mom so recently and hope you are doing okay. My husband is in the same boat so was just thinking of you.

Thank you. This holiday season has been really, really tough. Not going to lie. I am just trying to get through as best as I can. Charles has been fantastic. Thanks for the hugs! I am sorry your husband is going through it, too.

Thank you, Tammie. It is so hard to even think about having to celebrate Christmas without my mom. I am pretty much on autopilot doing the bare minimum. It's just not the same without her -- she always made holidays so much fun, so we are really missing her right now.

I loveeeee the look of POR, that's where our honeymoon would be if we weren't renting points! The whole resort just looks so peaceful...I'm so happy you guys have something planned! $140 a night for mods during July...DEFINITELY well played Disney!

I don't think it is odd at all. I have had pin codes before that I couldn't use, but I kept them in my email just in case... I am always saving emails with various deals -- that way if I win the lottery, I can plan a spur of the moment trip.

That was Chelsea, too! She woke up at 4:45 -- was in our room at 5:00. She is old enough that I didn't feel bad kicking her out and telling her to come back in an hour. While she waited, she woke up her brother and took a shower.
