You should have seen me moping around the house yesterday telling Charles all I wanted for Christmas was a trip to Disney to eat Mickey gingerbread and see the Castle. I kept saying, "Ask me what I want for Christmas. Go on and ask me." He wised up pretty quickly, though, and wouldn't ask me. I just don't see why we can't forego food for a month to pay for a trip.

I want to decorate on Friday, too! I haven't decorated this early in sooooooo long. Do you think I can do it????? Maybe with a spiked peppermint whatever that was from Starbucks you are having.

I didn't even think of spiking it, Mary Ellen! You may be on to something! We always decorate the day after Thanksgiving because once we are back in school things gets so hectic.

We do Christmas decorating too, but not till I feel tired of relaxing

We will be doing some decorating today too. We put up our villages already (one is DISNEY!).

So I just need to know....Are all the decorations up????? My mantle and my tree are done! I can't believe it!!!!! And I didn't even start drinking till it was all up and the boxes were put away. Pictures tomorrow! I love not shopping or working on Black Friday. what a productive day!

Surprisingly, none yesterday! I think it was a first -- in fact, I know it was a first.

You know, I felt the same way yesterday when I started pulling out the boxes. Decorating seemed like such a good idea and then I started bringing out the boxes and bringing them out and bringing more out. I was pretty overwhelmed at first. Charles looked at me and asked, "So, when do we get to the age where we don't feel the need to put up a tree?" LOL!

Yes, it is all up and finished! I love the house being decorated for Christmas! The kids and Charles were laughing at me because I "talked" to the ornaments while I was unwrapping them. I just wanted to greet them as they went up on the tree. LOL!

They won't take it, I tried! So most of the decorations went to the thrift shop for someone else to make new memories!

We don't get a live tree anymore, just put up a small artificial one. I used to decorate the whole house, butdo a little in the family room.

Our cats used to do that every year! It became a running joke at our house. Now, they are too fat and lazy to do more than look at the lights. Thank goodness!

I just couldn’t bear to end our Thanksgiving break without an update on the PTR. Since I don’t have any new trip news to report -- I am really saving everything for after the holidays -- I thought I would share what the beginning of the holiday season is looking like at our house.

Friday is our day to decorate the house, so armed with Peppermint Mocha Frappacinos from Starbucks (it was seventy degrees here that day), we got down to business.

Here are some of the highlights of a day that was pretty nice overall. (No drama this year, believe it or not!)

The Tree. The kids put it together and hung all the ornaments that I handed to them.

Some of our Disney ornaments that wanted their pictures taken.

The Mantle. I do love silver and glitter.

A side table.

This year Chelsea and I decided to pull out some pictures from past Christmases and display them on the fridge. It was a lot of fun giggling over old photos.

My new Christmas Mickey antenna topper came in the mail on Friday just in time for the festivities. Tonight Chelsea and I discovered that it glitters very nicely when driving at night when lights catch it.

Due to MeMom’s influence over on her TR, I found myself on Ebay this morning searching for Disney Christmas music. I found the Christmas Wishes CD -- with extra bonus track of the AK Christmas parade -- for only eleven dollars. I hope it gets here soon.

Later this week, our favorite North Pole elves, Haddon and Ingrid, will be arriving. I am sure they are planning on bringing their night vision goggles with them since they are HUGE Prep and Landing fans.

Word on the street is that they are also super excited about Prep and Landing being on DVD. I am pretty sure that Wayne and Lenny are rock stars at the North Pole.

And does everyone know that there is a new Prep and Landing show coming on December 5 titled Naughty vs. Nice? It’s on our calendar, for sure.

Okay, now everyone else needs to share their Christmas decorating pictures.

I'll be putting up my decorations next weekend and I can't wait!! Definitely love the Disney touches!!

OOOH I wonder if I can find the Holiday Wishes CD on Ebay too....that would be awesome to have playing as I bake and decorate!!

I love that you put Christmas photos on your frig and I love the picture of Chelsea and Connor in their younger years. So, so cute.

No - my cats actually don't climb the tree. I adopted all three of my cats when they were all at least a year old and it really was wonderful because they were well behaved but past that kitten stage.

I did have a cat once that used to climb our tree and totally knock it down. I lost a lot of glass balls that way. That's why I had to eventually get a new tree. Between toddlers and cats, it fell one too many times!

We've been decorating a bunch more today. We have another tree to put up, but we're all too tired tonight so we're lounging watching Good Luck Charlie! We got our Disney tree and village up, and I'll try to get a decent picture for you.

I have to mark the calendar for Prep and Landing - they are so cute!! Is it on Disney channel? You'd think I would know since it's on our TV most of the time!!

When I was younger I had a cat who used to sit in the lower branches of our artificial tree. It had a permanent dip in it!
