Does mainstreet gridlock from taping (Dec 3) start at opening?

It's hard to imagine mainstreet closed off when the first push of crowds enter at 9am. If I want to go to fantasyland first and we are there at opening, is it really necessary to ride the train to Adventureland and walk over? Also, if Toontown doesn't open until 10am, does the train make stops there before 10? (It would seem a shorter walk from that station but I wasn't sure if it stopped there on days that section does not open until 10.) Thanks for any info.

They have ropes up along main street. Baisically 2 deep next to the street. And they have a path along the building itself. Also if it gets to busy they open the back way around main street that lets out by Tomorrowland Terrace.

The filming will start at 7:00, so we'll be there a few hours already before opening.

Just to answer the other question, the train does stop at Toon Town, but Toon Town itself will be blocked off, you would have to take the pathway up into Tomorrowland and around to Fantasyland that way. As the others have said Main Street will be Packed as the filming starts before the park actually opens, but they do keep pathways open for guests that are not a part of the filming and if it does get too crowded they will open the backstage pathway behind Main Street.

If they start filming at 7am, do they open the rest of the park early at all?

I know they do during the summer to help with opening crowds, but will they do this during filming to keep the crowds lower on main street?

The 3rd is our first day in the MK.

They will not open the park earlier from what I understand. I think that's why they have us there at 7:00. I am hoping that from 7:00-9:00 will be a lot of action since they park isn't open yet. Friday is supposed to be a morning EMH, but I have heard that might change because of the taping. Don't anyone panic, just what I have read from a few CM posters.

Good luck. They will film the same scene 5 times to get it right. There is a LOT of dead time between scenes. It is interesting, however, if you've never seen how they put the parade together.

TJMouse, we've "spoken" about this in another thread - any idea when they might announce if there are any changes? Do they make changes up to the very date? Thanks for all your help

No idea, but if I hear anything, I will be sure to let you know asap. I have a Main Street CM buddy on another board, I will ask him to keep me posted. He is pretty sharp.

I have moved a little further south, but I'll always be a Clevelander! We're getting snow today too.

As for Sunday, they will only tape if they don't finish on Fri and Sat. and they will be done for MVMCP.

(Boo Steelers! Can't really say Go Browns , but I'll say Go Bengals instead!!)
