Does Jetblue ever drop their prices?

We normally go in Sept. I watch the rates and book when its something decent. Then, I continue to watch until the fares for that period go on sale, and call if there is a drop. They will put a credit in your account towards future travel for the difference, expiring in 1 year. DD16 might come with us this year, but there's still a chance she might not. I'm trying to convince DH to buy everyone else's tickets first, then hold off on her's. That way, we can use any credit towards her ticket.

Hi,

Checking airfare prices is like investing in the stock market! Sometimes you look really smart by waiting, and sometimes, well...not so smart. Sometimes the price will go up, and sometimes it will go down.

Are you a gambler? My opinion is: if you are comfortable with the price now you should book it.

I fly JB all the time and their fares go up and down like a roller coaster! Keep in mind that if you buy they will give you a credit for the price difference if you call when the price drops and the credit is good for one year from the day they put it in your true blue account. One of the nice things is that if you are a family, all of the credit can be put into ONE account (usually mine) so that it's easy to apply later. I fly them so often that I generally know the price structure well. I just bought tickets from them for 3 trips a few days ago. I like to buy one way tickets as it's easier for me to keep track of, especially for credits. My fare for October is only $59 out of Dulles airport, which is EXCELLENT! so I jumped right on it. Now I'm waiting to buy my return flight for November when it gets released! I have an account with Yapta and I enter all of my current upcoming flights and they monitor any drops for me when I can't. They are great about emailing you when the price changes. You can monitor fares you are watching and/or fares you have purchased (I do both).

Ooh. Good scoop. Thx. Trip is not even a definate yet (waiting to do my taxes and see how we end up ;)) , but I'm just checking it out. My DH flies JB all the time and prefers them over all other airlines, but right now the flight is $114 a leg? I'll just keep watching. Thanks.
