I don't know.. I think Soarin' will increase the crowds in the Land. Used to, even in busy times, the Land would have downtime... parts of the day when it slowed down... that won't happen now.
Talking about crowds in the Land - After we rode Soarin' a few days ago we stayed in the land looking at the remodeling. This was around 11:00, and after a few minutes of looking around I noticed a steady stream of people walking down the left side of the upper level of The Land then down the stairs to Soarin' entrance. Looking over toward the Land boat ride the waiting/loading area was pretty busy, and there were people walking into Circle of Life movie. Plus people waiting in line for revolving restaurant. Once the food court opens and with the official opening of Soarin' I think The Land will be a busy, noisy place during most of the day.
even though I enjoyed the peaceful quality to the Land...I can undersatnd that the Disney folks don't really want any areas to have much , if any , down time...
no one to spend $$$
If they get too quiet...see "wonders of life" pavillion......
My feeling is that Epcot is perfect for Soarin' because you are taken on a trip to DISCOVER a whole new world from the air. Epcot and discovery go hand in hand.
maybe its a strategic move by Disney to get more people to Epcot..
I personally love epcot (although ITALY needs a RIDE i think), but Epcot is quite typically the LEAST popular of the parks...i dunno...just a thought.

And in Soarin' there are tremendous examples of "biomes" the environmental niches that have such different properties and animal inhabitants. It's a perfect fit with the Land!

For many people though, Epcot is the favorite. I know people who only go to Epcot. There's a reason it has the largest capacity. I have to say though, I've found that locals tend to appreciate Epcot more than non-Floridians.
Sorry to get off-topic. I think dgaston madean excellent point about biomes. Soarin' shows you a variety of land types. Why not place it in The Land?
