I had originally not planned on buying express since I can go multiple times. However, I may be going with friends one of the days now and they are buying express. I'm not sure what date it would be yet other than during the first three weeks.

i don't have experience with HHN, but i know as a general rule of thumb universal almost never sells out of express passes, so i'd assume it'd be the same here. you should be fine getting it anytime

You are right you don't have experience with halloween horror nights. I don't know that specific time, but I do know at least years ago the express passes would sell out and even be up on ebay. I'll say this, I would never get within miles of that place again on halloween horror nights without express passes. 2 hour waits no thank you.

aah so i guess it's more in demand because of the limited time event? makes sense, sorry about that

if that's the case then you should probably plan ahead and figure out what day you're going so you can get it in advance. i know the lines there can get crazy since people arrive hours before the actual start time of the event

Go for the Rush of Fear + Express (or Frequent Fear + Express) package and not worry about lines at all :teeth:

Wait times will vary depending on the house, date and time you are there for hhn

Usually Saturdays are very crowded.

Last few years Fridays and Sundays are crowded once it is at the Columbus Day weekend.

I found that the first two weeks of hhn, not bad for crowds and wait times are decent except Saturday.

With more advertising and more new peeps going to HHN each year, just don't know how this year's crowd will be.

If you go to hhn an do not have the EP, you can buy it in the park.

For the nights it is crowded, that could happen 3 hours after the park opens.
Go early and you will have less house waits until the crowds increase.

Hit the most popular houses first and then do the others as time permits for you.

I started going to HHN 1999 and have not missed a year yet.

Each year it grows in popularity and crowds reflect that.

On some nights, line for outside the gate start before 5:00 .
Usually line will move at 6 and more peeps will be inside the park but held back until park officially opens at 6:30 (est)

People that do not have a day ticket would need to stand in the line outside of the park entrance.

Those with a day ticket (and hhn tix), are allowed to stay in the park in a holding zone until HHN opens
Most times those peeps can cover two houses before outside line allowed into the park.

For me, i buy the EP
I do not want to stand in long lines

Thanks! Sounds like I can wait! I wouldn't wait until 3 hours into the event. I'd still buy ahead, but more like a week ahead.

I originally wasn't going to get express at all - since I know we can likely do what we want just by doing multiple days and using the holding zone. But - that makes going with someone who did buy express rather challenging.
