We just got back a week ago but I am going to attempt to try to talk my DH into going back very soon. He is worried we will get tired of going and ruin the magic:wizard: . What do all of you think??????

I just went in May and told my daughters that maybe we should take a break from Disney for a while. Then I got a pin code for Free Dining and decided to go back again this year. I have never done the dining plan ...so never really ate at any table service locations. so I figured it would be a new experience for us for a great deal :wizard:

We went for 10 days in June just came back from 5 days and plan on going back in January for 5 days and my guys asked if they could not come in January....  Since I won the trip I am trying to find 3 friends to go but not having any luck, I honestly won't mind spending 5 days at the Poly all by myself.....:woohoo:

We go to at least one of the parks every weekend and we are also DVC members so we stay 3 nights at least 5 times per year. The magic never diminishes.

If we can go to the local Six Flags park every weekend during the 6.5 months per year that it's open and not get sick of it, then I think we're in no danger of burning out on WDW. ;)

I think that there are a number of ways to make each visit unique (different restaurants, shows, resorts) so it would take a good long time to tire of it. We are going in 15 days (yahoo) and eating in two new restaurants.

DF and I go frequently (5 times a year, roughly) and the magic is always even more magical than before!!

I don't think WDW could ever be less magical or not wonderful. :cloud9:

Maybe what you should do is try something new-- do you hunt for Hidden Mickey's? Take a backstage tour, maybe dedicate one day to each park and really really explore it and enjoy yourself.

Each of our trips seem to take on a different theme. We go different times of the year, focus on different parks, and always do something different. When the kids were young, we only managed a trip every couple of years, now the DH and I go around 3 times a year, with and without grown kids, in-laws, grands, etc.... Started out on our honeymoon at WDW 33 years ago, the magic lives on!

I wonder that too sometimes.. we go quite often.. and I do worry that at some point I will get tired of it.. I cant believe I admitted that! :faint:

We now do try to do different things each time we go.. This past trip we did the water parks and Disneyquest which was something we hadnt done before..

We also now do at least one of the tours that Disney offers each trip.. This past trip was the Segway tour in Epcot..

and then of course the obvious.. we try at least one new food place each trip.. and of course we visit our favorites!!

On our next trip in January we're planning on doing some mini golf which is something we havent done before and then doing a tour (not sure which one yet)

Ruin the magic? No way! We've been going back about every 6 months the last couple years. Even decided to buy AP's because it worked out cheaper in the long run. We're 9 days away from our next trip, and we've already got the next one after that in Feb. 2009 booked already. We're excited about this one and already planning what we're going to see and do on the next one. And get this - we're just two crazy adults with no kids. Is it wrong? :woohoo:

Yes it can. We used to go yearly at Christmas and we would BEG my parents to not make us go. LOL Every other year was nice but yearly was a bit too much.

I wish we were able to test the 'going to often' theory:sad1: ...but we only get to go once a year and I seriously miss it every day until I return.

With all the different seasons/events/holidays I can't imagine Disney every gets 'un-magical' pixiedust:

We never get to go for long so I haven't been there long enough in one stretch to feel like the magic is lost.

Next year will be the test for me - we got AP's for the first time and will have a weekend trip in Nov. 08 with DD and I, a March 09 weekend trip with the 4 of us, a solo 3 day trip for just me in May and a week long (hopefully) June 09trip.

Normally, we go once every 3 years for about 5 days. Hardly time enough to see the main stuff in the parks, let alone relax and enjoy the trip.

We've been every year since 2004, I wish we could go more often than once a year but my kids are too busy with sports.

Absolutely not! We were going once a year, but in the past year, we went in January, May, and now we're going again in Christmas. I'm just as excited each time we go. I literally can do everything WDW over and over and never get board. For example, I get chills every time I see Peter Pan in Mickey's Philharmagic.

I have been 57 times this year and it hasn't gotten old yet. When you go more often you can slow your pace down and enjoy the little things in the parks instead of rushing everywhere.

All I can say is that while your child is young, it will be VERY MAGICAL and go as often as you can! Once you have a teenager, they will still like it, and it is enjoyable to go, but not as magical

We started going when my DDs (twins) were 4, and would go twice a year (once even three times) up until next year when we only have one trip planned (they are 15 now). As they have gotten older, things aren't the same.

BUT I wouldn't give up the memories from any of those many trips we took when they were young and would give anything to have them back as five year olds for another trip to Disney!

Believe me, those years go by fast and when they are gone, they are gone.

One thing we did was plan to do something new each time (try a new restaurant, stay in a new resort, even camped at FW once). That added to the magic.

So my advice....go as often as you can afford for as long as they are young and enjoy this time!

Being at Disney with young children is PRICELESS!

Nope. We have moved on to AP so the commando deal is done. How can you beat sleeping in, having some lunch, swimming in great weather at beautiful resorts, then heading to a nice dinner in EPCOT (or DHS/MK) followed by a couple attractions and Illuminations (or FANT/WISH).

I am quite sure you would have no problem at all finding 3 friends on the Disboards willing to join you in January, I'll be first in line to volunteer. Really though, are you kidding you can't find three friends to join you on a free trip, I think I would be shopping for new friends. Enjoy your trip.
