I was there last year and don't remember seeing any.
I know Mr. FFerret would love to take the kids for a spin!

aahhh. I was wondering :)

I thought I saw somewhere something about a name change

Do they still have any Marina or Captain Passes (plans?) not sure what they're named but you get so many hours for a set price?

Thanks!

I called last week to check on this and was told the following. The Captains plan still exists. It consists of 10 days of boat usage for up to 5 people. You must be 12 years of age and at least 5' tall. It costs $250.

That captain plan sounds interesting, though we aren't going to be there for 10 days. DH didn't get to rent the water mice when he went as a child so we absolutely have to do them everytime we go now!

They are fun! The funniest thing is last time we went, DD was 2 1/2. I thought I was having a wild ride bopping around the lake and she actually fell asleep! The cast member at the dock says it happens all the time!

Sounds like Mr. Schminston-Mo has his priorities well established :)

Anybody know the marina hours for after Thanksgiving, before Chirstmas???

Is there maybe another marina plan that's shorter than ten days? And is the Captain's Plan for $250 unlimited hours? I think I just might be able to save that up by DEC 2005 if I don't do the second MVMCP I was planning....

Goodness, isn't overplanning FUN????

Just remember that, if busy, they will request that you check back in at the marina every 30 minutes.

We were there last spring and we had a 20 minute wait for boats so did not use the 10-day plan as we would have had to keep turning in our boats and waiting in line again. Also, the waterways were crowded (every boat from every marina was in use) and the poor "drivers" made for a very unrelaxing trip.

We did not go with a the other package because we couldn't get a AAA discount. By paying by the hour, we were able to get a discount and, thus, saved money over the use of a plan.

Oooo--there's an AAA hourly discount? Do you recall how much?

We'll be going during a low-crowd season (right after Thanksgiving; first week of Dec)--so they may still request the 30 min limit but it shouldn't be congested.
