Does everyone get this nervous the night before 180?

Yes I do. I used to be calm when they opened at midnight because I was already up. When they switched to the 6 am online I stressed out and woke up late... I still got what I wanted but I freaked out when I woke up late.

Nervous isn't the right word for me. I'm more excited than anything. For this trip there's an added challenge as our 180 opens at 5am on Christmas morning. DD6 and DS3 are early risers especially on Christmas morning!! Hoping to be done before they're up.

couple of questions -is it 180 days from your first night at WDW and can anyone make reservations then or did you need to stay at a Disney hotel? Also, can you make your entire week's worth at that time?

Yes

This is where it depends on whether you're staying in a Disney resort or not. Resort guests can make ADRs 180 +10 days from the start date of their trip (essentially making ressies for your whole trip at one time). Nonresort guests have to wait until 180 days before EACH ressie they want.

Or am I just crazed? I'm a total jitterbug right now... it's almost like I've spent the day sucking down starbucks double caf espresso shots.

I'm only hoping for CDR, BOG, LeCellier...

Seriously, does anyone else get this nervous?

Sure, but not everyone because not everyone plans their WDW trips 180 days out. It also helps not to be able to stand BOG, Though LeCellier I might consider doing it for sometime. Except I'm one of those people who's never planned a WDW trip that far out, so the best I can hope for someday is a cancellation. ;-) I hope you get/got your choices!

Our last trip, we were bummed not to be able to get--at all--SciFi Dine-in, which we really like. Our fallback was 50s Prime Time which we had never done before, and we ended up liking it better!

I'll be nervous next time for sure. The only ADR we are making is for Thanksgiving dinner! :)

Yikes! Best of luck to you! I'd love to go over a major holiday~

Wow!! Maybe you'll get luck and the littles will sleep in!

Yes, we were able, thank you - and at the times we wanted! We've never done BOG, or CRT thus why it was important... DD's choices of places to go. Glad you found a new one! I'm hoping next time we go we'll be able to try some of the "less famous" restaurants.

I am always nervous the day or two prior. I love the planning! The only one I could not get for June is Skipper Canteen and this was before the alcohol news was released.

Can I ask why you could not get Skipper Canteen? Were there no times, or just not the time you wanted?

thanks!

I was trying to get Skipper Canteen for lunch on Friday June 16th and there was no times for lunch. 1st available was 2:30, which is way too late for us. I did wait for this restaurant for my last ADR to get as I thought it would be the easiest......

I get excited, but i keep an open mind and try to be flexible with times and places-- that is sometimes your best approach -- maybe you can't get a 12:30 reservation like you planned, but 11:00 or 1:45 is open. If you are staying on property and have the 180+10 day advantage the sometimes a harder to get reservation is best to put later in your trip, because that means those not on property are not able to make reservations for those days.

I can't imagine a world in which I'd know when I'm taking a trip to Disney (or anywhere, I thought planning my honeymoon out 2 months in advance was amazing) half a YEAR out (I consult, this is just foreign to me). So, no, I don't get it. Sometimes we don't get to eat at V&A, sometimes we get lucky and can get Chef's Table, etc. Its ok, there are tons of great restaurants within a fast/quick Uber ride that you can always get into, at like the 4 Seasons, The Ritz or the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.

Would those restaurants really kill it for you? Since I'm pretty flexible, it just doesn't matter at all.

My problem is trying to decide what parks what days and I don't always have that set by 180 days because of waiting to see what nights will be party nights for Halloween. I got everything I wanted last time even after changing some dates around.

My ADR date is next week and I'm slightly anxious because it's a BB free dining time. Maybe I shouldn't worry, but I know reservations can be hard to come by during FD. Fingers crossed!
