My sister and I are traveling together this August. I have a MDE account that I booked our room only reservation under. I also have all of our dining reservations booked through my account. My 5 day park ticket is attached to my account for our trip, and I also attached my sister's one day waterpark ticket to her name under my MDE.

Originally when we first booked this trip, I sent my sister an invite through MDE to join MDE so that she could view our plans. She does NOT have a MDE account at all and never clicked on the email link.

My sister will be buying a FL resident weekday pass within the next two weeks. Our FP+ can be booked starting 6/19. Can she just give me her voucher number for me to add to my MDE under her name? Or does she have to set up her own MDE account?

Nope. You can link it to her on your account.

She needs her own acct. especially with this type of pass. I linked my daughters and SIL seasonal pass to my acct last Sept and it's been a pain ever since (well Disney finally got it straightened out). Have her link her ticket to her MDE. If she accepted your invite you can still schedule her FPs but since she lives here and will probably go without you she should link to her own acct.

I'll have her set up her own account then. Will this be an issue in regards to her one day waterpark ticket that is linked to her under my MDE account?

Make sure when she turns in her voucher (she need her FL ID) this can only be done at the parks. But make sure she gets a hard ticket. With her pass she gets discounts. 10% off merchandise at most stores and other discounts. To get this discount you have to have picture ID and either the ticket or discount card to show to the CM. They won't issue the discount card until the voucher is turned in. I got mine when I was able to order my AP MB (March) But you can't order that until you're activated the voucher.

No that's fine. With us we shared first night (DD, DSIL, DGD8 months and me) our first night was the party with the Villains at DHS. DD & DSIL planned to attend (place was packed, just trying to get from Pop to Poly (Ohana dinner) was a task. But since the plan was for them to go, we were sharing and I'd stay in the room with granddaughter. Next morning we went to Front Desk, DD checked in and I had them removed from my room. I was paying the extra adult fee. That froze their FPs and since their tickets were linked under my MDE the FPs couldn't be change and no one seemed able to remove their passes from my acct. We spent at least 8 hours over 4 days trying to get this figured out. Nightmare and it never got fixed. They both
ended up having to be issued new passes during their March trip. My daughter complained so much about all the time spent trying to get this fixed they gave her 5 anywhere FPs. But still not worth it. It was finally fixed. So when we went again plus my niece's family and my oldest daughter's family each family had their own MDE. No problems with FPs, no going to GS to get anything fixed. So less stressful. Good luck!

Make sure that she creates her account using the request from you and allows you to plan and share all together or there will be issues. Both of you need to allow each other to plan and share together by checking we commonly travel together. If she doesn't have the original email, send the request again (or sign her up yourself and create her log in info, unless she already has a disney family site sign in).

Hijacking for similar question. We are taking friends who will likely NOT go again in near future. It's been 8 yrs since their last visit

I'm doing all the planning. We are DVC so they are just on our room. I'm doing ADRs Tuesday and linking tickets in Aug. can't I just keep everything on my MDE account?

Yes. I did it that way for our April 2014 trip with my sister and her family. I did all the planning for the group - 4 adults and 2 children. None of us are Florida residents, though. I am DVC and had a DVC 2 bedroom linked to my MDE account.

She bought MYW tickets from UCT and had them shipped to me. I linked them to each member of her family (which I had added to my MDE account before I made the ADRs). I also purchased Memory Maker.

Everything went very smoothly. IMO, this was much easier than having her create an MDE account and do all the invites, etc. Plus she just wouldn't have had time to do any planning or make reservations, anyway and her DH is not a Disney person.
