Does Disneyland.com usually have summer sales on their Good Neighbor hotels?

I have my August 2026 trip booked at the Tropicana Inn and Suites. If all goes well, I'll have it paid off in 5 months. Or should I hold off a few months to see if sale prices are released so I can get the price adjusted? I usually book directly with the hotel,so I can't remember if there are any good sales.

If there are promotions they would be on the hotel websites, Disneyland isn't involved in the good neighbor hotel rates. I usually get the best rates by booking early. Some hotels, like Hojo or Grand Legacy have discount rates but I don't remember Tropicana having any.

Good Neighbor = third party. Therefore, third party offers apply instead of Disney-marked offers.

Tropicana does offer sales sometimes. They did in summer 2024 and I re-booked at the new rate by calling. They also offer the traditional AAA discounts, etc. Also, if you've ever stayed there before you can get a returning guest discount just by calling them and having it applied to your reservation.

Booking the third party hotels via DL is usually the most expensive option possible. Book direct through the hotel, as you've done, and book tickets through a reputable third-party provider while they're running a discount.

As others have said, there is no connection between Disney offering specials and those applying to good neighbor hotels.

As far as I can tell there is no benefit to booking a hotel with the "Good Neighbor" designation vs one that doesn't.
