I know the buses do not run from resort to resort, but do they run from park to park? TIA, Melissa

Yes. There is always Disney transportation (of some sort) running between two theme parks when they're both open.

To and from Magic Kingdom you must connect at the parking lot (aka Transportation & Ticket Center) using the ferry or monorail. Other theme park to theme park rides are one-seat.

I found a better way to get from the Magic Kingdom to any of the other parks. Simply take the seven minute walk to the Contemporary and take the bus from there to the Studios, AK, DTD or the water parks.
The bus station is before the resort main entrance and has a roof which make it more comfortable. You can also monorail over to any of the MK resorts and do the same.
