I wonder if, and how much, time and money Disney spends reading our posts... Do they use it to keep their finger on the pulse? Are any of you... shall we say... double agents? :rolleyes1

I am not.

but too many things discussed here do change DVC policy. So yes I would say they are watching here and other websites.

I know that the DVC folks definately watch the boards. I was chatting with my guide last year while doing an add-on and mentioned something I found online here on the DIS and he mentioned that they had just discussed that exact same thread in a sales meeting. He said they keep a watchful eye on here...

and I'm sure they get quite a few chuckles with some of the rumors and predictions they see on here.... heck, it's probably how they found out that someone found the DCV pics... or maybe it was one of them that posted them... or told someone to post them.

They read this forum and several others. Of course many CMs read in an unofficial capacity as well. :thumbsup2

I hope they read it! It's like politics, you need to keep tabs on your base and make sure what you are doing isn't alienating them. We are the base, look at the numbers on this board, from all over the planet! And those are just the people that register and post, I'm not even counting the shy ones. You have to be able to count on that base when the casual folks drift away. After 9-11, who went to the parks and kept them afloat? We did. If it wasn't for that solid base, they would have had to close more than one resort during that period.
It's just good business sense to keep tabs on your customers and this board makes it pretty easy to see reactions. I'm sure that they've taken a look at it since the price announcement to see how we're taking it. I would agree that they probably get a good chuckle about the DVC resort rumors, I do and I don't even work there...

Well... my question was some what loaded... C'mon somebody fess-up and just tell us that you are a double agent. We won't think anything of the worse. We just want to know you are there!

Some people certainly post like they are Disney Reps. Not so much on these boards, but on some of the other boards. No names..... :teeth:

Muushka, I don't know yet how to quote, but your'e signature hits home with me... It will always be DIXIE LANDINGS! Love it.

Thank you!

:guilty: I made a HUGE mistake a week or so back. I called Dixie Landings POR. :guilty:

What was I thinking????

Muushka, it is ok, we all get caught up in the present. BTW, how does one make a post with a quote?

well, the lower right hand corner has a 'quote' button on the poster's box (the one you want to quote). Just push it and add your own text.

But I don't think you can copy and paste the sigs. I just tried on my own and could not. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.
