Does Disney Hold Reservations for the Week of/Day of

Do you think that Disney holds back a certain amount of dining reservations for guests who call once they are on property? I've been trying and trying to change our reservation at 1900 Park Fare and I'm wondering if, at this point, I should just wait to call once we're down there. We're only a few weeks out from our trip at this point.

Based only on our own attempts to change ADRs the day of ... no, I dont think that they hold a block of tables back.

People do cancel their meals, though, and then those spots do become available. Trying again closer to the date & time you want may get you that opening you are looking for. We always make some changes once we are at WDW (because sometimes something that sounded good 3 6 months ago doesn't sound so good for tonight's dinner). I think that is why you can grab some of these spots at the last minute.

And walk-ups do get seated, too, because lots of people are "no-shows."

Good luck & I hope you get that ADR!

Thanks for the information! There is such a downside of having to big so far in advance. I end up feeling locked in by our ADRs and then making other tweaks to our plans gets harder.
