Does Disney boot you out...

It's been a few years since we made any ADR's on party nights but I remember a few years ago you could not make a late ADR on a party night unless you had already purchased a party ticket. I remember purchasing a ticket to MVMCP and wanted to make ADR's for the same night in the MK and I needed to purchase the tickets prior to making the ADR's. This was at least 8 years ago. When we go to parties now we just eat at CS locations - we don't want to take time up from the party.

This is true...on any MK party night you can make a dining reservation for anytime prior to 7pm. Not sure if there is one later than 6:45, but as long as it is PRIOR to 7pm you will be allowed to dine without a party ticket.

I have been not-so-gently told to leave on a Grad Night at DL. Mainstreet shops closed their doors at the stroke of 9:00 - no shopping on the way out of the park (unless you already were in the store).

I've come to learn though, that near park closing they will put alot of the E tickets attractions up at a high wait time... Like Space Mountain - 60 minutes, I guess just to dissuade people from wanting to get in it, but it usually turns out to be no longer than 10 minutes or so.

This is a great tip! Thanks!:goodvibes

Whenever we are at the MK and it stays open after dark, I can't leave until I get my good night kiss from the castle

Hi All,

I have got to ask...what is a "goodnight kiss" from Disney?

Thanks!

So on a MVMCP if I am in line to buy fudge at 6:45 and do not make it to the front until after 7, will they really not sell it to me or kick me out of line?

Can you still get in a ride line right before 7 or do they start pressuring you sooner on MVMCP nights?

Michelle

that, although you (and I) are on vacation, the CMs are working. I am not suggesting running out the exit but lets be kind to all the CMs who work so hard to make our time at WDW magical and, no, I'm not a CM. They have to stay til we all get out. Imagine if your business closed at 9PM. You've been there since noon, probably in the heat, catering to tens of thousands of people. Now they are all enjoying a lovely stroll, snack, people watching on a bench, while you just want to go home & rest your tired feet! So let's try to strike a reasonable balance here folks! IMHO staying "several hours" after closing is NOT very nice.

You took the words right out of my mouth. It is not my intent to be a party pooper but, geez, have a little care and concern for those that are not on vacation but trying to do the best job they can.

They will not push you out of the parks because that would be rude and not the way to treat a guest, but put yourself in their shoes. They might have kids at home they would like to see, a spouse or SO or just might be dog tired from running around dealing with entitled guests all day long. Give them a break and don't spend any more time after closing then absolutely necessary. It's the right thing to do.

You might be inclined to say that I spent a billion (or whatever) to be here and you will take as much time as you like. Remember that the ones that really benefit big time from your big bucks are probably all snugly tucked in bed. It's the underpaid CM's that are patiently waiting.

Liken it to that party you had and the time that you had one guest or couple that just wouldn't leave. No matter how often you yawned or stretched or commented on how late it was getting, they just decided that they had just one more topic that they would like to discuss with you. Well, this is the same thing on a larger scale.

On party nights at 7p you will NOT be allowed to enter a ride line.If you are in line already for fudge, they will not kick you off the line. But once you get that fudge you will find Cms herding people out to the exits.

It's all about being considerate. There's no reason to sprint out after Wishes or the last parade... IMO feel free to linger on Main Street. But don't try to go back to attractions, and don't wear out your welcome. Let your conscience be your guide :thumbsup2

we found DL to be a much different experience from DW - when exiting the park one night it was like being herded like cattle when it was closing time - not a fun feeling - some of the CMs were quite rude... another time we were trying to park our stroller to go on Pirates of the Caribbean and one CM got in my face because I wasn't moving fast enough - I told him I was just trying to find a place to put my stroller but he kept just saying "you need to keep moving" :confused3 - it was horrid... our family will probably stick with DW from now on...

Yes they do...we have seen the CM's start to usher people out as soon as it closes and on a MVMCP night we had tickets and were trying to get our picture taken in front of the castle...a couple that didnt have tickets wanted their pic taken too but it was 7:10 and the CM told them no, they had to leave the park since they didnt have party bracelets.

I was going to mention the Kiss Goodnight also. Dh and I tried to stay for it twice on our last trip but got chased out, not by CMs, but one night by rain and another night by cold wind. So this is still on my to-do list. Go find a bench near the castle, maybe in the rose garden area, or over by the ice cream parlor with some ice cream, and just sit and wait. Eventually, the castle will begin to cycle through a light show and there will be some narration. Just a nice touch to end an evening if you are there with your special someone. Added benefit is that when you get out to the buses, you probably won't have to wait in line. Check out youtube for "Kiss Goodnight" and you'll be able to see a few decent videos.

Lol, that was the funniest experience ever! We were there on a grad night, and I wanted to spend money and couldn't!
EDITED TO ADD: But on the plus side... the park was so empty that we hit 4 attractions in the last 15 minutes!
