Does Discovery Cove ever "feel" crowded?

We are considering going to Discovery Cove the week of April 15. Is this a peak time for DC? If they are "sold out", how crowded does it feel? Are there enough chairs, and places to sit? Are the pools "packed'?

Concidering that Discovery Cove only permits 1000 people a day, it won't feel more or less crowded than any other time with 1000 people there. I think there is always a place to sit. Not POSITIVE, but I'm like 60% sure.

AmoDolphin, Thanks for your reply. The cost is like $1300 for my whole family. I hoping to hear from one or two folks who have been there on a sold out day. If the place is packed when they are sold out, I don't think it would be worth it on this trip. I think that the middle of April is pretty busy in Orlando, so I would expect all of the slots to fill up at that time.

We were there the first of June, on a "sold out" day, and it was wonderful. We found a nice place to sit, but really didn't spend much time there! It's an amazing place, with so much to see and do. The only crowds we encountered was at lunch - we were probably in line 10 or 15 minutes, but other than than, it was very relaxing all day.

We were there April 25 of this year and on a sold out day. I never would have been able to know that by the attendance, only because I looked online before we went.

This day was the highlight of our entire trip, very special moments for my kids and for DH and I.

I would contine with you're plans - it was worth every cent to us and we spent $1200 for the four of us, didn't regret a thing.

We also went on a sold out day, 2 weeks ago. I hate crowds - you would never know that it was sold out (I also only found out by checking online).

Thanks for the replies. That is what I was hoping to hear. Now for the campaign to convince my husband. May the force be with me. If that fails, there's always crying.

We are spending $2660 and I am so, so, so happy to hear the news that it doesnt seem crowded at full capacity. We are going in 11/8 and 5 days around this date are sold out!

:sunny: We were there in July 2005 and it was a sold out day and I never felt crowded at all - it actually feels like a private island - I agree that the price you pay is worth every cent - I cannot wait to do it again!

The pictures and video can get costly - especially if you love photos like I do - I was a real sucker on the pictures & DVD - I am sure the girl showing me my pictures saw SUCKER written across my head - but I love the pictures that I bought and would not trade them for anything - the DVD was also great! I like to look at both and rememeber the great time we had that day! :sunny:
