Does DCL ask for flight info when you've made your own flight reservations?

Our original reservations included the flights. After making our own flight arrangements I called DCL to have the flight portion removed and they said they would need our flight info. Is that true? I didn't have it at hand so I could not give it to them at the time.

I just called to make my final payment but they did not ask for any flight info this time. But they did ask for the middle initials of everyone in our party. I forgot to ask if they needed the flight info.

We're flying in the day before so I don't see why they need the info. I thought they were only responsible for getting you on the ship if the flights were made through DCL.

They need your flight info IF you are using DCL transfers. This allows them to know to pick up your luggage from the flight and to be sure to have adequate busses available at the right times.

If you are driving/ private limo or whatever, they do not need your flight info.

We cancelled the tranfers and are going with a limo. That explains why they didn't ask for the flight info this time.

I booked my flights seperately, using allseas for the cruise res. I am flying in the day before. I've never been asked about my flight reservations. We have ds bus transfers. Should I be worried?

When you receive your documents before your cruise, there will be a page where they ask you for your flight information. All they want to know is what airport you are flying into/from, the flight number and time of departure.

I believe this information helps them determine what may be "going on with you" if you don't show up at the port by the time the ship is supposed to leave.

I believe that they will hold the ship for flights that have been delayed and things like that, particularly if it is a large group of people. If they don't know what flight you're on, they wouldn't know where to start.

Isn't this for security reasons since 911. Also for immigrations I believe. I know when you fly to some of the islands like Cayman Islands, they ask you for the information as part of their immigration forms. I think they want to make sure you don't intend to stay. LOL!
