Does Christmas Parade replace Spectro in December? If so, anybody know when?

I think I read somewhere that MVMCParade is only shown during the MVMCParty - until after the last MVMCParty in December, and then it replaces the Spectro parade until January 1st. Does anybody know if this is true?

We'll arrive in Orlando on Sunday evening, December 18th, so our first park day will be Monday, December 19th. We have tickets for MVMCParty on Tuesday, December 20th, so we were thinking of spending all day at Epcot on Monday, and sleeping in the next morning. However, since the last MVMCParty is December 20th, does this mean we won't get the chance to see Spectro unless we go to MK on Monday? At this point we don't have the hopper feature on our passes, so hopping to MK on Monday just to see Spectro isn't an option. However, Spectro seems like such a super parade that I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth spending the extra $35 or so (x 4)to add hopping - or if we should plan to use one of our park pass days to go to MK on Monday, and then go back Tuesday afternoon for the party. From what I've read, Mondays are crowded at MK - (though with all the changing about of EMH, which won't apply to us anyway, who knows what it will be like by then).

I realize that I'm trying to figure out some pretty intricate details for a trip that is still 6-1/2 months away, but I do love to plan. If anybody has any insight into this parade situation, I would really appreciate your sharing it.

I just thought of another question. Does anybody know when "Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas" starts showing? Is that a regular feature throughout December, or is it just available on MVMCP nights? I'm pretty sure that the Christmas version of Country Bear Jamboree starts earlier in the month, but I don't know about the "Night Before Christmas" show.

Since the Christmas Parade is more a day parade except for the party nights, spectro will still be running. The night before christmas is only a MVMCP feature until there are no more parties and then it becomes a regular feature I do believe for the rest of the holiday.

Yay! That means that we'll be able to do another MK day later in the week and see Spectromagic, right? And if we should happen to miss "Twas the Night Before Christmas" at the MVMCParty, we should be able to see it on that later day. I think I'm getting the picture now.

I'm looking at the December 2004 schedule on the wdisneyw.co.uk site right now, and it looks as if the special Christmas parade was done every afternoon the week before Christmas, with Spectromagic shown either once or twice each night. Although we'll be in Florida for two weeks, our schedule is such that we're only planning to visit the Disney parks between Monday, the 19th and Friday, the 23rd - before everything gets truly crazy. At first we thought we might get our fill of MK during the party, but now I'm thinking that we'll probably want to go back on a second day - (especially since it gets dark earlier in December). If we go to Epcot all day on Monday, MVMCP from 4:00-midnight on Tuesday, and take Wednesday off - we could still do MGM and another visit to MK on Thursday and Friday.

That leaves Saturday for SeaWorld, before DD & her fiancee go off on their 4-night cruise - (during which time my dear granddaughter and I will probably just veg out in our rented villa with private heated swimming pool - except for maybe a trip to the Lego store and one of the Disney outlet stores.) DD & her sweetie will return on Friday, and we're all leaving on Sunday, January 1st. We thought we might use our "second-day-free" pass to go back to SeaWorld on Saturday - so DGD won't feel like the whole second week of her vacation was without anything special going on.

I thought it replaced Share a Dream Come True Parade for a couple of weeks.....

I'll bet that's what I read, and I got it mixed up with the Spectromagic Parade. So - what about the "Share A Dream Come True Parade"? Is it something pretty special, or should I be content with seeing the Christmas parade and Spectro? I know we can't see "everything" in one trip, but I want to see everything I can! :rotfl2:
