I'm sorry if this has already been answered before; I haven't been able to find any answers using the search function, and I'm not even quite sure what I should be searching for.
I'm heading to WDW with an extended family group in November. Some of us our planners (hence my posting here, haha) and some of us... not so much. There are a few in the group who just want to do "whatever." They'll make up their minds each morning if they feel like going to a particular park that day and just go do whatever attractions they walk past. HOWEVER, I know them well enough to also recognize that if the rest of us are doing rides like 7DMT with FastPass, they will (of course) want to go with us should they happen to choose to come to the park with us that day.
They've given me permission to book FastPasses for them along with the rest of the group. However, I want to make sure that if I go ahead and book, say, a FP for 7DMT on November 4, they could still change their plans and do Animal Kingdom on the 4th if they wanted to, or skip that day and use their ticket to go to Hollywood Studios the next day instead, etc. Basically, I'm asking if booking a FastPass locks in your ticket to be used on that day at that park?
