Let me put my couple of pennies in.
You get off the monorail or ferry and walk up the concorse, the heat bears down on you as you stare up into the clear blue cloudless sky. The kids are tired after the long flight but are driving on adrenalin.
You walk along the pathway as the crowds gather and upto the main entrance of the MK. Once inside you are briefly shaded at the station as you move forward you get the first whiff of that sugary Disney smell at the end of main street, the noise gets louder and your heart beats faster trying not to miss any of it, especially the kids faces.
You avoid looking up until you can see in one go the Castle at the end of main street. The music fills the air and with a tear in either eye you say, "Kids, Welcome to Walt Disney World".
So, in answer, No, where else can the entrance to a park raise a smile and squeeze a tear of emotion in one go?
I still, after 4 years (we are booking this weekend for 2007) cannot watch the parade of our 1st visit in 2002 where the our 2 girls get taken out into the parade.
Close your eyes and hear the music!
Cheers
Steve
