Does anyone work at a Disney store?

I have a question about the perks of working at a Disney store at the mall. My niece tells me that she heard you get some perk related to park tickets if you work at the stores. Is that true? Thanks!!

The Disney Store was just sold to the Children's Place. Most of thep erks that CM's used to receive are now up in the air if not discontinued altogether.

I was talking to one yesterday in the Disney store and she said she had to buy her park tickets for her trip next week now becuase once the childrens place signs the papers next week they will no longer get discounts on any park tickets or hotels or cruises from Disney since they are no longer disney employees...she also told me that her 35 percent discount goes down to 30 percent once the childrens place takes over because that is what all their employees get...though one other CM in the disney store said she was waiting to buy ornaments and other disney stuff in the store since her discount was only 20 percent, she said they go up in stages for discounts based on how long you worked there. She also said that the Disney store in NYC will still be owned by Disney and those employees will still get all the Disney perks for the parks, tickets, cruise etc...

Although the DS cast members are not as bad as the park CM's, there are many on this board that get really riled up when you ask them about their employee discounts. I am not sure why, and its not everyone, but I have seen some people get really testy.


We have some inlaws that recently retired to Orlando, and I was trying to find out about some of the perks they may get if they worked in the park. I was just bludgeoned for even asking. Odd I thought. Maybe is like some "Skull and Bones" kinda thing.
