Does anyone want to join the 120's Club?

Hi -
I want to join.

I'm currently 146, I was down to 141 a few weeks ago. Shouldn't take me too long now that I'm back on track to get back to the 141.

I'm 5'2" and I did make it to my WW goal of 131 a few years ago. I didn't stay there because I didn't look at it as a lifestyle change and went back to my old eating habits. Also, I have a problem with my summer vacations. I seem to lose weight , then go on vacation (2-3 in the summer) and then I'm losing the entire year to get back to that point. I'm hoping to change that this year

I'd like to get down to about 125.

Thank you for not letting me be the only "lush" on the board. ;) :thumbsup2
You're very welcome!:drinking1
...What is "sparking rose"? Wine? Champagne?
Fizzy pink wine - I always imagine it's what Marg Simpson's referring to when she drinks "champale"... ;)

...I'm stuck right smack at 140 and just got a month of nutrisystem. Fingers crossed!
I stuck at 140 for what seemed like an eternity - I really think just moving around more helped me get past that block. Good luck! :thumbsup2

Alcohol is hard for me too! I don't drink that much but if we go out and I have a drink or a glass of wine, etc., it seems like I HAVE to have some "snack-y" type item to go with it - pretzels, peanuts, anything. A really bad habit I've developed, but it seems like it's not such a treat if I don't. :confused3

popcorn:: popcorn:: Maybe a little Merlot with this popcorn

Count me in with the miss my wine when dieting group!

I gained half a pound overnight :(

I'm dealing with a new food allergy as well (corn is the likely culprit), which I think has put my body into a tailspin this week.

Count me in! 140 lbs this morning. Goal: 128 lbs.
I'll be checking this thread daily...I get a lot of motivation from knowing others are fighting the same fight.

Here's the thing too...I can follow a Weight Watchers diet, that seems to be the most reasonable one for me, and I'd prefer not to pay $12.00 for weekly meetings...rather put that money towards the next Disney vacation....oh ya.

Can I join in????
I would like to be 126 by my Disneyland trip at the end of June/beginning of July. I am at.....170 right now:scared1:  . I was 126 about 3 years ago and slowly have gained it back. My first goal is to make it back to 147 by my first wedding anniversary on April 1. That would be my wedding weight.

Ok so I ordered Nutrisystem the other day. It had better get here fast, becasue everyday since has been like Fat Tuesday and I'm creeping in the wrong direction!

My driver's license says I weigh 125 - but don't think I have weighed that in 20 years! I was slim but flabby back then - so I think that I would be about the same size at 135-140 if I were in good shape. At ~ 5' 8" - 140 is a good target weight for me.

Good luck for the week ahead, guys!:thumbsup2 I feel yuk (sinus issues) this morning but I've gotta get my act together as I'm due at the gym in just over an hour! :scared1:

Had a baaad weekend as we were celebrating DH's promotion and DD's new job and I think you know how that works out - I treated them to a home cooked roast pork dinner with all the trimmings plus a mixed berry dessert with a delicious hot dark choc and Baileys sauce...:cloud9: And of course the wine flowed!:rolleyes1

I tried to redeem myself by playing tennis on DS's Wii yesterday - I'm no gamer but that is such fun! :thumbsup2 And today I'm back to reality so sensible eating all day and no alcohol this evening plus I'll bang out those 10000 steps as usual... :yay: :yay: :yay:

Did everybody get some sort of exercise today? Even if it was just parking farther away from your office or the store?

Why is eating so tough on the weekend? I actually did OK, although we had some people over on Sunday that involved 3 beers and a few out of this world frosted brownies my sister made. I do believe in 'cheating' a few times a week, but I may have overdone it. My meals weren't too bad all weekend, but the alcohol and 'treats' really add up! I did weigh myself on Saturday morning and the scale said 135.5, we'll see if the loss is still there on 'weigh-in' day.

My goal today is no out of control snacking when I get home. I have chicken defrosted and ready to cook when I get home, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Nope. I got no excersize. Well I walked the dog, but not very far. There was no school, so no me time.

On the bright side my food arrived. Day 1 tomorrow.

I'm starting my second week on the Johnson Upday Downday diet - so far, I seem to be able to stick to it fairly well (though I had a binge disaster on Sunday with first-of-the-season Plant City strawberries that I made into a strawberry pie with real whipped cream - yum :cloud9: and then guilt

I started the diet last Monday, so my "down" days would have been M-W-F-Sun -and since I screwed that up I turned today (Monday) into a "down diet" day (20-50% of regular calories) instead of an "up day" (regular eating) to make up for it. Here's a link to the diet if you want to read about it:

http://www.johnsonupdaydowndaydiet.samsbiz.com/page/1ed7e/Home.html

It seems as though I have enough willpower to get through 24 hours! Well, unless beautifully ripe red strawberries are involved!

I also got my T Tapp exercise dvd delivered today, but haven't had a chance to open them yet. I did do 20 mins on the elliptical, and then some stretches, but don't feel like I've pushed myself at all. :worried: My DH & I had to go out this evening and cover all the tropical plants since it's supposed to get to 29 here in Daytona (yikes! Not used to those temps anymore!) so I tried to bend and stretch there as well...

:wave2:

Just checking in. I've gotten past the "hump" that you get when you first start dieting before your tummy is used to less food. Now I find I"m not really all that haungry. I only ate about 750 calories all day yesterday, and only once was I hungry--it was right around when I was planning on eating my Slimfast bar for dinner.

I spent about an hour on my feet dancing at a concert last night, so not a huge amount of excercise, but it helped a bit anyhow.

I'm down to 141 as of this morning! Only 13.5 pounds to go. I'm actually losing a lot faster than I expected. :thumbsup2

Okay, I'd like to join the 120s club, but I've got a LOOOOOOONG way to go!

I don't care where I end up, 129 pounds even. I just want to be in the 120s.

I'm 5'3" and weigh about 180.:sad2: I do try to exercise 5 days a week, usually by riding my stationary bike for 8-10 miles.

I don't eat a lot, but I DEFINATELY eat the wrong things much of the time.

2 summers ago I was slimmer and trimmer and weighed about 135, but I discovered I had a horrible allergy to aspartame, and well....you can guess the rest. No more diet pop (drank 5-6 diet pops a day), so I switched to regular pop to feed my need for caffeine, and the pounds started piling on dramatically. Also, we spent a lot of time at the lake last summer eating lots of fattening snack food while at the beach.

Anyway, I'm down to one pop a day and I'm about to give that up altogether and just drink coffee. (I wasn't a coffee drinker AT ALL before this!)

Also...yes...another lush here who likes beer and wine. Been cutting down on that too.

So, here I go. I'm starting as of today (oh boy, what about Superbowl?!)

I'll need all the advice you can give me.:grouphug:

I'm in!!

I've gained 10 pounds since the beginning of Nov and am just so PO'd about it!! I was at 132 (pretty close to my goal of 125). Then with the holidays and with the cold weather I have been in hibernation mode and have blown back up. I am a runner (2-6 miles a day) and have been back and forth with WW for 5 years now. I can't seem to run more than 3 miles at a time on a treadmill...so I try to at least get 20-30 minutes of interval running in 4-5 times a week. Also, I have just recently quit WW and am back to doing my own thing so I'm glad I found this board to get me back on track!! I want to be in the 120's before I go to Disney in April. My plan? 20 points a day and my Feb excercise goal. :thumbsup2

SOOOO...wish me luck!

Hi,
The 120's would be great. I'm 135 with a BMI in the high normal range. Two more points and I go into the overweight group. Plus I bought a dress for my son's wedding last Oct and it is TIGHT! He gets married in June so I have time. Just need motivation. I am now exercising 5 times a week plus watching what I eat now that Christmas and my birthday are over.
I'll make my goal 128.
BTW I'm going to be in Disney in May on the DDP. Yikes!
Thanks
Carole

Ok 120wishers. I need to vent. Do you mind? So as you might remember, I started Nutrisystem, this week. Its going well and I actually have a friend who is doing it too (although she had 3 krispy kremes the other day, tsktsk). Well last night I went out with some friends, both of whom weigh quite a bit more than I do. So I was having a snack (chocolate covered cardboard), one asked what I was eating. When I showed them and said, "yes" I am trying nutrisystem, they both got very judgey and one made a pretty nasty face. Then I am pretty sure one made a snide comment about it that had them both laughing, and when I asked "what?" like it nothing and I'd just not heard the joke, they both froze up and after a very long pause, the other said " I'll tell you later."

This really hurt my feelings, especially because I have never been anything other than totally supportive of both of them when their weight issues surface. I mean it was way beyond, "You dont need to diet :) ."

HAs anyone else experienced wierd and judgey friends, like this?

Yes, there are people who tend to feel bad when others make a positive change in their life. They're just jealous, plus they doubt themselves too. Some people are happy with the way they are, but I was not when I felt out of shape and blubbery. It's ok to want to better yourself.

Things are going pretty well for me. I've noticed my portion sizes are much smaller than before new years. I'm satisfied with much less on my plate. Plus my exercise routine is kicking butt! I was 135 even this morning so I'm definitely on a downward spiral! If I keep it up I'm sure I can be at 130 in another month. Slow and steady wins the race!

ME!!! My goal is about 122-125! I have A LOT to go.....having two babies in two years really helped me slip! LOL! :goodvibes
