I'm debating on taking a small trip to Disneyland Paris from the 13th to 15th of August, to hype me up for Disneyworld in December!

Problem is, I don't have anyone to go with me!!!

I'm scared to go alone! I don't know any french!

So, anyone up for going to Paris with me?
:wave2:

If you can get me there, I'll go with you!!!! (of course I would really have to bring the hubby and three kids too)

Oui, monsieur. J'aimerais aller avec vous et etre votre traducteur.

You could probably ask on the UK boards. They may be willing to go, since its a shorter distance from there.

me :teeth: , I would love to go with you.

My french is passable, but I really don't think we will have to worry too much at Disneyland Paris. I would think English would be readily spoken there.

Don't worry about hte language being a problem.

You can take a train (EuroStar) directly to DLP from DeGaulle airport (I'm pretty sure it is that one, if not the other one). There used to be a EuroStar from Waterloo Station in London that goes right to DLP too.

All the cast members there have flags on their name badges. Find a CM with the UK flag on it and they speak English.

All the show and rides are in English - it is the most common 2nd language in Europe. Even Buffalo Bill's Wild West show was in English.

You will be fine alone. I did it. PM me if you like and I'll answer any questions I can. I was on assignment in UK and went over for along weekend. It was very easy and comfortable going alone. I wasn't going to pass it up when the company offered to pay for it for me.

Vamp, I think you are pulling our legs here! How can someone like you really not have a girlfriend just dying to spend some Disney time in Paris with you! The mind boggles.

I worked in England for a short time, and took several short trips to Paris when I was there. Oh, if I were only there now!

We were there in March. The parks are just beautiful. You won't need French. However, find that website about Phantom Manor (ask on laughingplace.com if you can't find the location here) so you won't be lost. That's the only ride where we had a had time figuring things out.

I'd go but last time I went I came back pregnant and I don't think I want to do that again!

Don't worry about not speaking French, the vast majority of the CMs there speak English.

I love the park there, it's so compact and nice!

Just to put you in the mood - here's some pics from our trip in October!

I was there for Christmas, and I had the time of my life!!! My friend and I are both fluent in French, so language wasn't a problem for us. However, all of the CMs there do speak English, so I wouldn't worry.....

Have a great time!
