Does anyone use Owner's Locker?

We are just trying to decide if we want to invest in Owner's Locker? Are there any opinions?

We do not use it, but we are thinking about using it as well. Here is a thread that I started in April to see what people do with the purple box:

I think we are going to go for it, since we have 3 trips planned over the next 12 months. I'm sure we will become addicted!

Oh boy, sit back you are going to get tons of posts... OL is very popular with DVC owners and with their new advertising alliance with DVC/DVD they should grow even more. Do a search here and you will find tons of threads and do a search on ytube. They were very nice to post some videos of the buildings plus there is a video about BLT where the owner of OL is talking about BLT. It is a great video and was very helpful to us when originally buying into DVC. IMHO it is a safe bet. Hopefully the owner of OL will restart his "Travels of the purple van" thread again. He use to post pictures of the different resorts to a thread here. It was very cool to look at the new images plus it was excellent advertisement for OL.

I use Owner's Locker, and absolutely love it. I don't have to worry about packing things I use every trip (shampoo, toothpaste, etc.), and, more importantly, I don't have to worry about that stuff exploding in my suitcase on the plane ride. I can fit a LOT of stuff in that locker; more than what I ever expected.

Not only does the locker come in very handy, but the service is always top notch. John and Brian are fantastic. I can't reccommend OL enough.

Yes, we've had OL for several years and LOVE it! I couldn't do DVC without it anymore!

We love our OL. Makes trips so much easier and nicer. There are plenty of things that we would lug down every trip that now we can store. Well worth the $$$.

We waffled quite a bit before getting our OL.
with just two people traveling SWA (2 bags free pp) it was a tough decision.
Now, our OL is filled to the top: my pricey shampoo and conditioner, a GOOD hair dryer, ponchos, glass bowls and plates, real flatware (ew norm stay in a studio), laundry deter and softener, sunblock, first aid, toiletries, sound machine, sewing kit, etc

We love our purple Locker! DH wasn't too excited about getting one but now that we've had it a couple of years - he loves it as much as I do. So nice to have items in there we don't have to pack for each trip. Saves on airline costs too. The service is great and they are really nice people to work with.

You know, when I was first thinking about getting an OL, I tried to make the decision with a calculator. I couldn't make sense of the math. Now that we have it, I'm really sold. I'm glad to have made the leap of faith. In fact, I've just ordered a second one.

It's all about the convenience of knowing that everything we need execpt clothes is there. And in some cases, clothing we only wear in the parks is there, too. No more forgotten items. No more doing without things because we don't have a rental car and don't want to spend Disney resort prices for them. No more throwing things away at the end of the trip, or not buying them to begin with because we knew we won't finish them by the end of the trip. (Perishibles excluded, of course.)

LOL, I'm going to get a real reputation as a drunkard, because I mention this in every OL thread. We also have several bottles of booze in our locker. It's nice to be able to enjoy a cocktail without paying $20 for it. (Not that we don't still enjoy a nice drink at the pool bar or with dinner every once in a while.) We'd have never had a bottle in the room before our locker because there's no way we'd go through even a small bottle during a trip. And there's no way I'd take an open bottle back home in luggage. With the locker, we can also have a little variety. I think I've got vodka, gin, and tequilla in there right now. (Proud member of the gurgling locker club.)

When we take a short trip with just the two of us, we never get a car and we always stay in a studio. For those trips, we don't do a grocery run. It's nice to have our stuff in the locker. There are some packs of oatmeal, some crystal lite, and a package of coffee in there.

When we're in a larger room with a kitchen, we'll either have a grocery delivery or make a trip to the Wal-Mart. That's our chance to re-stock. If I know we're running short on something, I might also pack it in our luggage.

There are also some nice-to-have things that I'd never pack in a suitcase, but I'm glad to have down there. A Brita pitcher, saran wrap, zip-loc bags, tupperware pitcher, kitchen knives, dishes, games, etc. I know I wouldn't carry them back and forth. I've also got an old laptop and router that stays down there so I don't even have to carry a computer case through the airport any more.

WE love our OL!! So much so that we have 1.5 OL's now..(We share with another family the second one) Our personal items are in the first and in the second are things we share like Crock pot, blow up mattress and sheets, etc..

We both outgrew just one OL but didn't really need 2 (YET)

I keep a laptop (an older one we don't use at home anymore), beach towels, sand toys, toiletries, an electric frying pan, board games, and more in our OL. I love having all of that stuff already there for us. We just pack our clothes and hop on the plane.

this is not a good thread for me lol you guys are starting me up again to re think about taking the leap to OL which is not a bad idea you guys come up with alot of really great idea of putting things in it like the electric frying pan , britta (no more bottle water) , this is going to be a fight with wife cause she is the hard one to convince about this .

Honestly I never thought about a Brita pitcher. I think saving money on bottled water alone might be enough to just about pay the rent on that locker!
