Does anyone use cash anymore?

How do you pay for things?

.

Cash - only cash. I told my fiance we better stop hiding our $$$ around the house like we do, too - we're gonna be like those old people who when they die, their kids find money in cookie jars, under the matress, in wall panels... :confused3

Cash, what's that?
lol

I rarely have cash. I go to the bank to get some when we go on vacation somewhere to tip people or buy from the vendors and for the movie theatre, it's cash only, drives me crazy!

We're a cash family. Although, I'll use a check more often then my dh who uses strictly cash, even for big ticket items.

I don't carry over $10 in cash at one time. I use my debit card for everything. Places that don't accept credit or debit cards loose my business because I won't run to the bank or ATM to get cash out. I'd rather find someplace that will take my plastic. :)

I usually just charge absolutely everything and pay it off online every month. I keep very little cash in my purse unless I am going on vacation then I keep some cash just for small purchases and tips. I love getting cash back from credit card and frequent flyer miles.

I almost always use my bank card and now that my bank has a "round up savings" account it is even better! If my bill is 4.15..the change automatically goes into the savings account and for the first 3 months the bank is matching that amount 100%. Great and easy way to save.

I don't like to carry cash because if my purse gets stolen I'm out of luck, I can cancel my card though immediately.

I generally use my credit card to accumulate frequent flier miles. I also think it's an easy way to track my budget. DH likes to use cash and it drives me crazy.

Cash has a tendency to disappear before ya know it. I like a paper trail. It helps me keep track of spending.

Same here. I hate having receipts dinking around, so when I was using cash, I never knew where it all went because I only keep receipts for things I'd consider returning. I like that when I use a card I can look at my account and see where I've spent money.

I only use cash at the flea markets and food place that don't take credit cards or debit cards. I only give myself 5 dollars spend a week in cash money. Some weeks I don't even spend the cash at all.

Debit card.... I never have cash on me...

I use my disney visa for everything. I normally keep 20 bucks in my wallet just in case the place won't take credit but I hardly ever use it.

Check card for everything. I write 4 checks a month.

Why do people still write checks in a store? I used to work at the Disney Store & it amazed me when someone would write a paper check. One lady said she felt safer. You are giving out your bank account #, address, phone #, DL # &( SS in states )that have it on the DL

I never have cash on me. If I buy something it is with credit card or debit card. Most everywhere you go now takes one or both of those things so there's no need to carry cold hard cash. I just keep my cash at home on my bed and roll around in it. More fun that way. :teeth:

We only use cash for pocket money. I honestly think cash and checks are on their way to virtual obsolesence.

I feel safest using a cc. I don't like the idea of a debit card being directly linked to my checking account, and cash can be lost or stolen. If I lose my cc, I just call in, report it lost, and get a new one. I'm not liable for any fraudulent charges. Plus, the rewards are mighty nice as well. Over the last few years we've gotten no less than 10 free hotel nights, and at least $500 in Disney Dollars.

I use it all.... cash, credit cards and checks. Cash can never completely disappear - how are the concession stands at ball games going to sell items? How about bake sales? Fundraisers? Lemonade stands on the side of the road?

We are actually one of the only businesses I know of that does NOT take credit/debit cards. Our % is not high enough to warrant it - we just don't feel we can lose the fee off of our profit margin. People adjust, or go elsewhere.

All in all, we prefer cash!

Cash - and one particular debit card for on-line purchases..

I pretty much only use a credit card these days. We used the rewards points for our summer vacation last year. I don't think I ever carry more then $2 in my wallet.
