Does anyone sleep in "real" pajamas/nightgowns?

I wear pj sets and nightgowns--the longer ones. DH and DS wear sleep pants and a matching tshirt.

I was actually looking at a flannel PJ set at the victoria's secret sale this week.
then I realized that I sleep in tee-shirts (a clean one every night) and either capri "sweats" from old navy, terry cloth shorts or plain old boxer shorts every night.

i only do laundry once a week - that means I'd only get one wear out of the PJ set...too much effort for me.

I lounge around the house in pjs. But I find most of them too uncomfortable to sleep in because they get too hot. But I love wearing my flannel Mickey pjs on the weekends and evenings.

I wear nylon nightgowns. I can't stand flannel. I get too hot. DD wears those cute little PJs that look like shorts and a tank top.

Honestly I have a "pajama fetish" I love matching pajamas. The other day at Target I found these cute Disney Pajamas in pretty spring colors with Mickey on the tank top and pants.
I also bought pajama sets from the Disney Store.... OMG THEY ARE SOOOOO COMFORTABLY SOFT. The house shoes feel good also


Me too, I love pajama's. I own numerous sets and I wear them every night, though once in bed, I just wear the shirt. No nightgowns though at all.

I usually wear a t-shirt with boxer shorts or sweatpants. I do wear nightshirts occasionally.

I own lots of pajamas, but I just wear them around the house and take them off before I go to sleep. I can't stand that feeling that they are all wadded up, or twisted, or just annoying in some fashion!

Yep, I wear PJ's every night. In winter the shorts and long-sleeve top kind and in summer shorts and short-sleeve or tank top ones. Sometimes a nightshirt, but not very often. Those bug me because they always get tangled around my legs.

What interesting responses! I can't stand nightgowns, I feel really "exposed" and they get all twisted up.

Unlike most everyone here, I love being toasty warm during the night (summer as well when the a/c is on). PJ's are not warm enough for me so I wear pj bottoms and sweatshirts (sometimes with other shirts underneath if I'm really cold) pretty much year round. Oh, and socks, too!

NO pajama's here. Nobody in my house wears them. Saves $$. I do have a lovely pair of silk jammies that I wear if I have or am a guest, but otherwise, its just me and the sheets. Don't know how that started really, but the last time I remember having jammies, I was about 15. They are just a pain, all twisted up and sweaty. Blech. Don't ask me about my blankie clooection though!

I *LOVE* my pajamas. I am in them as soon as I get home from work. Wish I could wear my slippers to work - so much more comfy than high heels.

When I was growing up, (50's, 60's, 70's), we always wore pajama sets or nightgowns, and when my kids were younger, they always wore cute pj's.

Now we sleep in flannel pants, tank tops, old t-shirts, sweatpants, and if it's really cold, (and in Maine, that's a sure bet), I'll wear old sweatshirts to bed.

I didn't really give this much thought, except that we, (myself and 2 daughters), went on a short trip with my mother. We were all getting ready for bed, and my mother came out of the bathroom in a silky nightgown. She looked at the rest of us crawling into bed wearing an assortment of tanks, t-shirts, sweatpants, shorts, etc., and said, "Aren't you guys changing? Are you wearing your clothes to bed?" hahahahahaha!

Anyone still wearing matching pj sets? Well, I don't mean it negatively, I'm just curious!

I wear pajamas. They are much more comfortable.

Sometimes. Every Disney trip I buy a pair of cotton PJ's as my souvenier, gives me a bit of Disney magic every time I wear them! I have collected quite a few pairs, some of which are really very worn. At times I wear yoga pants and t-shirts, just depends on what has worked it's way to the top of the draw. DD also wears the cute tank top/short pj sets.

Depends on what is clean. I have two sets of PJs. If they aren't clean it is sleep bottoms and a t-shirt.

I love my pajamas but only wear them around the house. I have 3 pair of matching ones that I love. I can't sleep in them though. I've slept in the buff as long as I can remember as has DH.

Jammie pants and a T-shirt form me. Tighty whities for DH and jammie pants and T-shirt for DD preferably her "Big Cheese" Mickey ones. Somebody gave me a X-mas present today of a beautiful flannel Disney nightshirt. I love it but I'll never wear it so I am very sad.....

During the summer, I wear mostly oversized T-Shirts. During the winter, I wear matching silk, cotton, flannel pajamas. I also have a couple of really worn sweatpants that I occupy from time to time.

Funny this thread came up. I sleep in pj pants/shorts and tank tops usually, but I just bought a short, satin nightgown. I always wanted one because they look so comfortable. I haven't worn it yet, but I'll let you know how it goes.
