As soon as the package rates come out for next year we are planning to book our first family trip to Disney (hubby and I went before we had the kids)! We're planning on Jan or Feb because of the crowds and prices. I know to steer clear of the marathon weekend and presidents day weekend but does anyone see anything wrong with Feb 2nd-9th? Any major annual conferences or something I don't know about? Hopefully they will release free dining for that week!

That is when we are going!! A friend of mine is going with us that has meetings there but I think it is just for her company (they go there every other year for meetings) and not a huge thing though. We have been several times but never this time of year so I am excited about the weather!!

From all I read there isn't much going on then. Should be a good time to go.
I wish I could go then since it is my baby girls 1st birthday - but maybe in 2014.

We went Feb 5-11 this year and it was AWESOME. Low crowds and the temps were in the mid-70s to low 80s, just perfect. We normally go the first half of May but this was a great time of year to go.

Great! Thank you guys so much! Now I just have to cross my fingers and hope for free dining!

Mardi Gras is the 11th and 12th so a good deal of Louisiana might show up on the 9th, but I would think it would be late in the day.

I looked at those dates and the only thing I could see was cheerleading competitions on either side of those dates on the weekends.

Yes Mardi Gras is on the 12 so there will be a lot of Louisiana people there, myself included. BUT I heard that there are low crowds during that week. The kids here are out of school that week so its a great time to go.

Thanks! Where do you find info about what competitions are upcoming? I'm deciding between Jan 26th-2nd or Feb 2nd-9th.
