does anyone see a huge increase in price from this year to 2012 on the packages?

Well Yeah. Room rates have gone, tickets have gone up, and dining plan has gone up.

The dining plan now includes the mug. QSDP now only gets 1 snack.
Edit: Only for 2012. No change for the rest of 2011.

Holy freaking price increase! We were just there about 2 weeks ago and called to get some pricing for a quick September 2011 trip and decided against booking it. Just priced it again and... Holy price increase!!

yep - they are pricing families out to stay onsite. For us, a family of six, there are not really any good value options onsite, add that to the ticket price increase and then it is even worse. We are staying at Bonnet Creek this year and will plan to in the future if we decide to return to WDW. We love WDW, but I'm not sure it is a good deal for my family anymore. Hopefully they will offer some room discounts or nice promos.

I noticed that too. In 2010 we got 2 snacks with the QSDP. Not sure about 2011 since we didn't get to go this year.

We are a family of 4 and have to do a value now. Which I'm totally fine with. But our package increase is 200.00 for next year for the same thing. I did the math and we take that amount by the number of nights then divied by 4 it only works out to be 5.50 per a day per a person. So that makes me feel better.

I just priced out the same thing we did this January (2 adults, one child, 7 nights at Pop Century) and it is about $150 - $200 more to do it next year. The total went from about $1400 to almost $1600. That is about a 14% increase which is really high considering the economy.

Honestly I do not think the overall increases are huge at all.

I priced out our current Oct 2011 trip out for 2012 the first day the new packages were released.

2011 $4190.66

2012 $4476.08

It is only an increase of $285.42 which is only $47.57 per day and that includes room, DxDP and 6 day PH.

I priced the poly this year to next and it is a 426 dollar increase, that is huge. And CR was approximately 500 dollar increase. No CR for me next year. Now looking at WL or cabins!:confused3

Holy cow! I just priced out next week's trip for the same dates and specifications next year. Our 4-night trip would cost us $864.58 more than this year.:sad2: Since it's just two of us, that's a staggering $108.07 per person per day!:scared1:

UGH. They are really beginning to price us out. We have gone every summer for the past 10 years in August. This year, we took a break and are doing something different, but were planning to return in August 2012. I just priced out basically the same trip we took in August 2010 and for the same room and same tickets, it is a 17.5% increase in two years. That doesn't even include food increases or the fact that one more of my kids will graduate into the adult category.

Unless some FANTASTIC discounts come out for 2012, it looks like we may be taking another break from disney. Our income certainly isn't increasing at a rate of 17.5% in two years. :( Bummer.

Did you think the prices would go down? Everything has increases this year. I am glae it isn't more.

It would be nice of them!:lmao:

But seriously, I don't think anyone expects the prices to go down, but considering this country is still feeling the affects of a recession and the fact that disney is already offering less discounts, I honestly didn't expect such a large increase. Most people around here haven't had raises in 2-3 years and have taken pay cuts and/or cuts in health insurance, etc. They certainly aren't seeing the increases in their pay to go along with the increases disney has decided to charge. Of course, going to disney is optional, which is why we may need to opt for a different vacation again next year. As much as that saddens me, their is only so much money for vacation in our budget and disney is starting to price us out entirely. I'm sure many others are in the same boat.

Not happy to hear about the change in quick service dining. We used one of those snacks for breakfast most days - or bedtime snack. We love the extra magic hours and the Disney transpo, but maybe it's time to crunch the numbers. We stayed offsite twice years ago and had a three bedroom condo in a gated community for $100 a night.

We are going in November and planned to go next summer for Star Wars Weekends and then in 2013 when all of FantasyLand is complete. Instead, we will skip next year and just wait until 2013 and do it all.

Yes it prices out to be a lot more next year, but thats at rack rate. I would assume most of us got discounts on our trips this year. I know I got 30% off my room this past May.

I must be off somewhere as I thought it was only $5 inc on Mods which is only like 3% and DDP up $3-4 pp. Where are the large increases you are taliking about

We are DVC members. We usually do 9 or 10 days vacation at Disney. Usually 5 night in our DVC villa and the rest on a cash basis in one of the resorts. Next year we are thinking of just doing the 5 days with our points and rest over at Universal.
