:welcome: and thanks for joining in! I don't mind at all, it was so much fun making the shirts! I think everyone should try it lol I bought all of my t-shirts at our local Michaels craft store. They were on sale for 2 for $5. Then I bought 1/3 yard of fabric (zebra print for AK - cost like .50 cents) at Jo-Ann fabrics. Then I used this no-sew permanent iron-on adhesive called Heat n Bond Ultrahold at Jo-Ann Fabrics (they sell it at Wal-Mart too). A yard of adhesive costs like $2.50. Then I just followed the directions on the iron-on package. I ironed it on to my zebra fabric then traced a Mickey head on it and cut it out then you just remove the backing and iron it on the shirt. It was so easy and two shirts cost me less than $10 for everything! Let me know if you want me to post a picture of the adhesive I used, it works really well! Have fun!:yay:

I'm in! Not going to join in the trivia yet though!! What fun to plan all of these trips!
:thumbsup2

Plans sound great so far...looks like we will be overlapping some days :)

Can't wait to hear more!

Subbing!!!! I am enjoying your ptr. I love your shirt ideas. I am hoping to make some tees for us when we go, but with a family of 6 it'll be challenging. But if you don't mind please share your ideas and how they hold up. I can't see ordering the pricey premade ones for all of us.

So 4 trips to DISNEY??? In less than a year. WOW that's just awesome. We are planning our 3rd trip ever for next February, and absolutely cannot wait.

Love your shirts! I have made some for out upcoming trip, for MHSSHP. I have to get those finished up this week. Did you use Wonder Under? I used Wonder Under and then I am going to applique stitch around the edges. On the girls ones, I think that I am going to just trim with sequined edging using my glue gun?

I'm IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Hi, my name's Deva (dayva) I'm 18....yea...I love your ptr!!!! I know exactly how it feels for no one to read your ptr, I literally have 1 reader lol. You should come check it out!!!!!! I love your t-shirts btw! Can't wait to read more!!!

Thanks so much! I am hoping I can get started on them this wkd since its fall break. I only have two months to make some for 7 people:scared1:.

:wave2: and welcome! I'm so glad you joined. My trivia game hasn't gone too well seeing as only one person answered so I think I'm going to wait a little and then try again so hopefully you can join in then!

:welcome: How exciting you'll be there too! What dates are you going? Have you been at this time of year before?

:welcome: I'm so excited you decided to join me! I'm still not sure how I justified 4 trips but I'm so excited! When are you going in February? Because I could think of some really cute shirt ideas if you're going to be there over Valentine's Day. I found making shirts to be really simple and completely affordable. I even washed one of mine after making it (I just turned it inside out in the washing machine) and it came out fine so I'm thinking they'll hold up pretty well. None of the shirts took too long to make because I just used the iron-on Heat n Bond. It's so simple, you just iron it on your fabric, cut out the shape you want, then iron it on the shirt. Let me know when you were hoping to make shirts for (certain parks, holidays, etc.) and I'd be happy to give you some suggestions on ideas!:)

Oh I bet the ones for MNSSHP are so cute! I'm hoping to make some for out Oct. trip next year! I would love to see yours! I used something called Heat n Bond for mine, but if I'm not mistaken it works pretty much the same way as Wonder Under. That's a really cute idea to use sequins! I just hot glued my bows on and that worked fine, they're stuck pretty well!

Yes we will be there over Valentines Day. WOW I didn't even really think about that. We'll be there 2/11 through either the 18th or 19th, not sure yet on that. Please share your ideas, I would love to hear them. I am trying to get the male form in my family to get on board with matching or at least coordinated shirts for the trip. It's me and 11yr old and 2yr old daughter, then my hubby and 8yr old and 5yr old sons.

Ok, I've got my first idea for you. I made a little picture in paint on my computer so I could just show it to you instead of making you try to picture it. Sorry it's a little rough and uneven but hopefully get the idea...

I hope that works. Anyway, I would use a red shirt and then buy white fabric to cut out the word love but use a Mickey head for the letter o. You could put bows on the girls shirts and leave them off of the guys so they looked like Minnie and Mickeys. They would be sooo cute on Valentine's Days!! Good luck get your husband to wear them! My DBF has already threatened to disown me if I tried to make him wear something special for the marathon! Oh, he has no idea what he's in for...:rotfl:

Oooh I love it. Great idea, I have to figure out a way to remember this now. I will add it to my list of things to work on this winter to get ready for our trip. My boys love pirates and starwars any suggestions on tying that into a disney themed shirt? It might give them motivation to where the V-day themed shirts if they have "manly" shirts as well.

Ok, when my mom and i were originally planning on doing the pirates & pals fireworks voyage I had designed a t-shirt for us to wear. I made another paint document for you and once again it's a lil rough but it get the point across...

I'd use a royal blue shirt with a Mickey head and then put a pirate bandana with the whole skull and cross bone on it. You should be able to make this fairly easy or you may be able to find a bandana in the halloween costume section. In fact, it could be cute to put an eye patch on it too! I'm still thinking abt a Star Wars one but I'll let you know when I think of something! Let me know if this isn't "manly" enough for them and I'll see what else I can come up with:thumbsup2

Ok, to start off, I've got some really exciting news. I've been waiting to share until I was sure everything worked out. I've been wanting a Mickey Mouse Waffle maker forever! I don't really like the new ones the sell that make 5 characters because it just wasn't a logical purchase with two adults in the house. I would have had to make like ten batches just to feed DBF. So, I started researching the old Mickey waffle makers that make the 6 inch waffles. I new a wanted the one by Villaware because the other companies had a history of catching on fire :scared1:. So, I started researching them and it turned out that the only place I could find them was on Ebay. Well, I'm not a huge user of Ebay but DBF reassured me that if I found a seller with a lot of good feedback and that only accepted PayPal that it would be pretty safe as far as not losing my money. Awesome, I'm in. Well, turns out that these Mickey waffle makers are pretty popular on Ebay. I saw one sell for $162.50. Um No Thank You. I love my Mickey Waffles but there was no way I was paying that much. So, I continued searching and found one listed seperately from the others after typing in Mickey Mouse Waffler instead of maker or iron. Well, I WON! I got it for $22.50 which I felt was pretty reasonable! And it arrived yesterday in the mail! So, as soon as I got home I opened it, washed it, and made my first Mickey waffle:

I'm so excited about it!!!

Ok, now on to my trip update:

Day 3: Dec. 2nd - Relaxation/Hodge Podge

Well, after taking such an early flight on arrival day and then getting up early and having a long day on day 2 I figured it'd be best to throw in a relaxation day on Day 3. Well, that was before my over planner self kicked into gear  and Day 3 turned into more of a hodge podge of stuff that I wanted to cram in that we may not have time for on our other days. So here is what we have so far:
Sleep in till about 8-8:30am then get ready and take bus to MK then Monorail to Grand Floridian.
10:30am - Breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe
*I added this after stalking the Disboards and reading all the reviews and
seeing pics of that amazing Maple French Toast
After breakfast we're going to do some resort hoping. First, check out the ginger bread house at GF. This is something I have always wanted to see and can't wait to do! Then we'll take the monorail to the Contemporary to check out the holiday decorations there. Then we'll take the boat to the Wilderness Lodge to see theirs. I'm really excited about going to WL because I've never been to this resort and I hear it's beautiful, especially during the holidays. We're going to stick the Polynesian on this day because we'll be eating there later in the week.

Now, we'll probably head back to Coronado Springs. I'll have to do my workout for the day (training for the marathon - can't stop just because I'm at the World).

The plans for this night are a little up in the air. I would really like to head over to Hollywood Studios to see Fantasmic! but I'm afraid if we do we'll miss our dining reservation. Fantasmic! starts at 6:30pm and our reservations are at 8:00pm at Downtown Disney. I don't know? Maybe if we sit towards the back and leave right before the finale? I'll think about it.

8:00pm - Dinner at T-rex: A Prehistoric Family Adventure. I've never been here but I hear the food is pretty good so I'm excited to check it out.

We'll finish up the night by browsing some of the shops in Downtown Disney before heading back to our resort.

What do you think? Can we fit in Fantasmic!?

I love the plans for the day. Sounds like alot of fun. I really want to check out resorts too. I am also still debating on wether we can fit in t-rex as well somewhere. LOL!
