Does anyone NOT like Crocs?

OMG! I've been waiting to see if anyone else dislikes this newest trend. Crocs are sooo ugly and there is no way I would ever be seen wearing them. On our trip to the world a couple of weeks ago, we pointed out all of the delusional people wearing these hideous shoes. They are not too bad on children, but who lets a boy wear plastic clogs in august in florida, come on :confused3
We also saw couples with matching clogs - YUCK!

I don't like them either. I keep reading the posts here on how everyone is raving about them, but I don't get it. I keep seeing them everywhere in shoe stores and I just don't see the appeal in them.

I agree! When I kept seeing CROCS on the dis I had no idea what they where. Then I looked and said oh my god i would never be caught dead in them! My dd has a cheap pair of Target garden shoes I had no idea that they where croc knock offs! They are definite kid apparel! I am a Birkenstock girl! Forget the crocs!

I am not a fan of Crocs either. Not just because they are ugly, but for 30 some-odd dollars they arent worth it! I can get Old Navy flip-flops AND cute sneakers/runners from Wal-Mart for all of $25. AND to me Old Navy flip flops and flat casual sneakers/runners are more comfortable... if you are a Croc-aholic, then go ahead! Wear your Crocs!! Just for me, they arent comfy!

I'll say I hated the look of these and still bought a pair because I was so desperate for a comfy alternative to my beloved flip-flops. I have been in pain for awhile now I'm guessing because of my warn down flip-flops and too many days in high heels. Well I bought the crocs and would only wear them around the house and yard. I've finally started to wear them out and I'm so glad I did. My feet feel so much better then they did before. (Although I'm still in a lot of pain when I wake up.)

But I won't lie...I prefer to wear them with jeans so no one can really see them. My boyfriend calls them my spaghetti colanders.

OMG, I'm hysterical reading this thread :rotfl2:

I started a thread about how many prs of CROCS we saw last week, at the World. We saw hundreds of them. We saw families wear them....tons of men, women and children. I can deal with them on the little kids but the adults are horrible looking.

Anyway, I can't wear them, won't wear them. IMO, they are as ugly as sin and I could no more go out in them. My feet sweat in my Keen's, I need more air circulation, I suppose. I can't imagine them in Crocs, if I could get passed the look of them. I wore my NB's with socks and I was comfy. Also, can't imagine wearing them when it's rainy...I can see the advantage but I personally wouldn't be comfortable. I tried them on, just to see and my foot flopped around in them and then next size down they were too tight. I have to get things a bit big anyway as I have chronic swollen feet and worse in the heat.

I think they're a blast, and I enjoyed seeing so many colorful crocs at Disney last month. However, I simply can't wear them (the flip flops I can wear, not the standards). My second toe is too long, and it come out the hole in the front. Very disconcerting. :rotfl2:

I have the Prima ballette flat, which doesn't look like the regular crocs at all (thank god!) my feet sweat a bit, but they are comfy and cute, not disgusting like those other ones!

Well I am a converted Crocs lover. I too thought they were not very attractive. But let me tell you, I put them on and fell in love! The sizing on them is weird, but I just went up a size and have found them to be very comfy. I hate wearing socks and tennis shoes. I love Birks and Tevas but both of those kill my feet after awhile so I am trying Corcs and so far so good. My son loves his too.
I am sorry that you all find them "ugly" "hideous" "disgusting" etc. But to each his or her own.

We'll be 'croc-less' in the world also!!!! Can't say I think too much of them, personally. Might be the most comfortable shoes on the planet...but even that wouldn't be enough for me to put those dreadful looking things on my tootsies!!! To each his own, it's just my opinion!! I do think that I'm in the minority though...everyone seems to LOVE them!! :confused3

Our entire family will not wear them the others in my house tried and found them to be very uncomfortable and made their feet sweat like crazy and my wife got really bad blisters from them across the tops of her feet. I was never so happy as the day they all tossed them into teh garbage even if it did cost me over 150 bucs to buy them it was money well thrown into the garbage LOL.

Makes you wonder what the big hoopla is for, doesn't it? I tried a pair on just because, after hearing so many glowing reports on how they're the best thing since sliced bread, most comfy shoes for doing WDW parks, etc, I was dying of curiosity!!!! Tried them on and :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 I don't get it at all!!! I thought they felt only slightly better than they looked!!!!! :sad2:

To each his own but I hate the things. I always felt there were ugly but having a DD 10 I bought her a black pair and a lime green pair so she would stop letting me know on a daily basis how she was the only person in the world other than myself (which in her book dosen't count) that shamefully does not posess a pair of these things. Well let me say if I had it to do over they would have stayed in the store. After making sure they were the perfect fit and shelling out an amount I felt was absurd until looking into those at little blues eyes that seemed to say your the best mom in the world (right now) I got over it and went on. After the first day the Lime pair rubbed this horrible blister and half the skin off her ankle before I knew it you know how kids are (mom will take them and I rather loose this foot than these shoes) so after noticing this and reposseing that pair for a return we were then down to the black pair which haven't done that but they have managed to fray my last nerve. No matter what she constanly has half of her foot in the shoe and half of it out. I think her foot is trying to rebel for wearing these ugly things. However when she does have them on correctly they somehow manage to at the most uncool time make this horrible sound which as a mom I refer to as a foot fart but those around you think it comes from somewhere else and of course my DH or myself are usually the ones people stare at cause of course those little blue eyes come into play again at the most opportune time saying of course it was not I...The joys of motherhood .Anyway after all my ranting on crocs they are not and I repeat not going to Disney with us. 22 Days and counting until Disney and no crocs!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc

Yep I agree I figure it is the sheep mentality that most people have you know the one that says to us oh well everyone is wearing them and saying how great they are so I have to have them. I figure people rave about them just so they don't feel left out for some strange reason.

LBelle it must be a Canadian thing LOL. I have not seen to many pairs of crocs around London at all anyhow so I really don't think they are that big of a deal here I guess people here are smart enough to know junk when they see it LOL.

Personally I don't care how comfy they say they are, they are the most hideous pair of shoes I have ever seen in my whole life! LOL Wonder who set the trend of wearing gardening shoes as everyday wear........

I thought they were hideous too before I tried them on and then I had to buy a pair for myself, my 2 kids ,and my husband to wear in disney. I still feel a little silly wearing them outdoors so they have become my new houseshoes and they also feel great on your feet after a run, or a long walk in the disney theme parks! for $29 you aren't sacrificing much to get a comfy pair of shoes. I say get them and have a little fun w/ it, pick a bright color!

I agree with every reply on this thread. Plastic shoes comfortable? For some yes. For most people it is like a lot of things they see other people wearing them and feel compeled to be apart of the crowd we all have done in one way or another. I think people that own crocs don't have mirrors, or they would relize they are wearing the ugliest shoe every made, ever! I say we all ban togther and recycle these shoes since thats what they are best for. If you enjoy this thread check out the thread titled "Enough with crocs already you will get a good chukle from that one. Take care everyone and lets keep the anti-croc movement going strong, peeps will snap out of the dase they are in and relize "what in the heck is on my feet?". :thumbsup2

Not a sheep here. I love my Crocs because they are comfortable for ME. Don't care what anyone else thinks. My feet that were chronically sore (plantar fasciatis) now never hurt. Even after walking all day at WDW. I've never been one to follow fads. I don't waste my money on things that go out of style a week after you buy them. But these shoes are perfect for me. So, you all go ahead and wear your hot toe cramping tennis shoes and end up with soggy feet at the parks after a water ride. I won't judge your choice of shoes, so don't judge mine. (OK - if I see you in stiletto heels at WDW parks I might judge your shoe choice, but I won't say anything out loud... :lmao:)
