Does anyone live in Hamilton???

Looks like we are leaving the big city this summer and moving to Hamilton Mountain. I just wondered what it's gonna be like? the change?
I don't know anyone there and will have the 3 kids mostly by myself during the week as DH will still be traveling by GO to Toronto for work.
I am already in discussions with HWD School Board in terms of Special Education for RYleigh and I have a deposit down for Madigan to attend Preschool twice a week.
I guess I'm just a bit anxious!

Waterdown is a suburb of Hamilton. I'm new to the DIS Boards, but we have been to WDW several times. It's so nice not to be lurking anymore and finally posting. Best of luck with your move, it can be a very trying ordeal especially with kids. We have 3 moves in 9 years under our belts and I hope we are done with that for a while. I'm here on the mountain too. I grew up about 40 min. SW of here, and have lived here most of my life. My kids are likely older than yours DS11, DD9, probably could recommend activities, daycare etc, as been there, done that.
DH also does the TO commute.
Any help you need, you can PM me.
We have DVC, just planning to make ADR in the next 10 days for our Nov. trip.

I grew up on Hamilton Mountain and my parents, sisters, and niece and nephews still all live there. It is a great area to grow up in. My niece and nephews sound like they could be around your kids ages, they are 4, 3, 3 and 7 months. There will be lots of great things for your family!

We're in Burlington but we have to trip to the mountain every month or so to go to the Disney Store. My daughter thinks Hamilton Mountain is Nirvana. The Disney Store and Build A Bear in Limeridge Mall with Toys R Us across the street what more could a kid want.

We live on the Stoney Creek Mtn, just 10 minutes from Limeridge. Lived here all my life and think the area is great to raise kids.

We love Hamilton, i was born and raised and I will NEVER LEAVE.

My Dh is from TO and loves calling Hamilton his home.

where on the mountain? east or West?

PS the best mall in the area is Hamilton Mountain Limeridge mall

Hi. Though we live in Paris, we go to Hamilton often. My sister and family live up on Ross street. Anyone from around thier? Once in awhile we will spend a week at her home in the summer, while they are away on holidays. A great time of swimming and just a short walk to Limerage.

DH and I lived in Hamilton all our lives ..........until 2 years ago and we decided we wanted a quieter lifestyle and moved out here to Simcoe. We love the small town atmosphere and we really don't miss Hamilton as we still have medical appointments there so we usually stop and shop for a while too but I still love my new home much better than Hamilton....sorry.

We actually lived near Limeridge Mall for 17 years and I and DS also worked there too.Good luck with your relocation!

We like it...shopping is handy...everything seems close by.

We can drive to Toronto, drive to Niagara Falls..both ways around an hour...not bad!

DH and I love a little Mexican rest. downtown...yum!
We are close to emerg.. (I am a klutz...lol).
I don't think we will leave anytime soon...
